BREAKING NEWS-UNAMID helicopter fired in North Darfur

February 9, 2009 (ELFASHER) — A UNAMID helicopter was fired by unidentified assailants in North Darfur and the attacked plane landed safely in El Fasher, the joint peacekeeping mission said today.

The Mi-8 helicopter was attacked this morning (10:32 local time) at 70 km south west of El Fasher while on a food supply mission, the UNAMID said.

However, “No casualties were recorded, and the aircraft returned to El Fasher safely.”

    This are the tricks used by the gov’t to interfear with the peace process going on and they shall blame the rebel. given the fact that the gov’t was not interested.
