Qatari Emir to visit Chad for talks on tension with Sudan
February 27, 2009 (NDJAMENA) — The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, is expected to arrive tomorrow in a one-day visit to Ndjamena for talks with the Chadian President Deby on the shaky relations with Sudan and Darfur peace process.
Al-Thani whose country brokered a goodwill agreement between Sudanese government and the rebel Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) announced last Saturday from Khartoum he would meet President Deby to discuss the chronic tension between the two neighboring countries.
The Chadian information minister and government spokesperson confirmed the visit saying that his country welcomes efforts to ease the current tension and improve the relations with Sudan.
The minister Mohamat Hussein told London based Alsharq Alwsat that if the visit aims at improving relations with Sudan they would listen to what the Emir has to say. “We do not reject any reconciliation with Khartoum but we seek it, nonetheless we will see what the other party has to say”
Sudan and Chad used to trade accusation of providing support to their respective rebel groups.
Since last November the two countries re-exchanged ambassadors after the expulsion of the Chadian ambassador from Khartoum following an attack by JEM rebels on the Sudanese capital in May 2008.
When JEM had captured Muhageriya, in South Darfur last January, Sudan renewed accusation to the Chadian government; Chad also had accused Sudan of creating a new rebel coalition.
Ndjamena also said Sudan had rejected to include a Chadian envoy to the Doha peace talks as part of a group of the neighboring countries.
The two countries signed three non-aggression deals brokered by Libya, Saudi Arabia and the latest in Dakar in March 2008. A contact group tasked with the implementation of Dakar agreement failed to meet twice in Khartoum as planned since last month.

I hope the move of Qater’s Sheihk will not spark Al Qadaffi upset as Arab leaders agreed to disagree on everything they do regardless of whether it is good or bad. These leaders have just ran out of ideas and therefore fight over one’s ideas, disagree and not only that, they recruit some regional and local groups to fight for them and the only reason for that is who should be rewarded for what.
So, it will be appreciated if Sheihk efforts can bring fruitful outcomes for the Sudanese and Chadian people especially if it able to stop NIF government carrying out its predicted invasion plan to invade Chad. UFOR anticipated an imminence invasion of Chad by NIF’s Sudan, so something needs to be done to stop that happening.

It supporsed to be Chadian President Idriss Deby should come to visit Qatar for peace effort, but he never intended to do that before, and even though his visitation in France, that we know this will be not truth effort for peace negotiations. Second, when Iraq never allowed to Qatar’s one man play over Sahara, this is not welcomed in Mesopotamia.
Third, Libya’s Khadaffi was once a puppet of Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, but today, he gains control over Sahara, but Iraq wouldn’t agree his own idea of bringing Senegal and Liberia into this circle, we would say we don’t need any Uncle Sam states of Afro-Slaves from West periods.
Libya shouldn’t ignore Nobiin, the most beautiful Black Africans in the world.
