SLM hails ICC decision against Sudan’s Bashir

Statement from the Sudan Liberation Movement Regarding Issuance of Warrant of Arrest against El Basher

The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army highly appreciates the historic and unprecedented decision of the Judges of the pre-trial chamber at the ICC, to issue an arrest warrant of Sudan’s Milosevic Omer El Basher; who fixed all sorts of problems on the Sudanese people and whose politics of genocide has shown it’s ugly faces not only in Darfur, but also in South Sudan, Nuba Mountain, Abyei and other parts of Sudan.

Our special appreciation continues to the Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo for his brave and resolute stand to achieve justice. “Great is our debt to you and men of your kind”. The miserable, traumatized IDPs and refugees in the camps have an immense amount of faith in the ICC to end their suffering by stopping the nightmare of genocide machine.

The dire need of the vulnerable Sudanese masses today is not lame unimplemented peace agreements, but; rather feelings of justice that ends wars for those who still dying and suffering. Therefore; peace before justice proved to be unworkable with the current genocide regime.

Those looking for peace at any cost and before justice will be lacking a common sense if they ignored the plain fact that it’s impossible to achieve peace before justice; especially with the peace-destroying Jihadist regime that failed the test of human worth and addicted dishonoring peace agreements.

As far as the Sudan liberation Movement/ Army is marching with a firm step and well- grounded confidence towards its objective of achieving secular, liberal, democratic and united Sudan. It is worthwhile to draw attention of all to the fact that, any peace purchased at the cost of our people’s just rights, is merely a delusion and it will not last.

Finally, the Sudan Liberation Movement/ Arm wants to seize this rare opportunity to honor those innocent civilian victims whom the regime in it’s destitute effort massacred, wounded, captured and displaced them; and remind them that, the day of final victory has not yet come. And till that day our task will be a collective, calculated and severe one. So let us stiffen our will and courage and tomorrow in the peace of victory we shall recall with pride these tragic days; for they will have made us better.
