Sudanese president to review progress of peace talks in address to nation on 5 April

KHARTOUM, March 29, 2004 (SUNA) — The president of the republic, Gen Umar al-Bashir, is to address the Sudanese nation through the opening sitting of the seventh session of the National Assembly next Monday, 5 April.

President Al-Bashir is to review, in his address, the government’s plan for the coming stage and developments of the peace process in the country.

The National Assembly’s affairs committee, discussed at its meeting Sunday 28 March, chaired by Assembly Speaker Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Tahir, the final preparations for the opening of the parliamentary session.
