SLM statement on humanitarian situation in Darfur camps

Statement from the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army

The Sudan Liberation Movement /Army extremely worried about the alarming death rate among the IDPs in the camps due to El Basher’s regime genocide-induced diseases such as hunger, thirsty and meningitis; therefore we kindly appealing to the International

Community to take the necessary extreme measures to stop the regime from imposing such horrible inhumane situation. Furthermore we strongly reject the regime’s mockery plan of nationalizing the aid working and we knew full well that it’s the regime’s scheme to continue the genocide through the most devastating slow motion.

The traumatized IDPs have very worse experience with the national NGOs in the camps, where sanitation engineers added poisoned chemicals in which ten children lost their lives in Zalingei Heisaheisa refugee camp to mention the least; accordingly this regime can not and will not be trusted at all. “It’s absolutely risky to leave the perpetrator feed the same people he is working tirelessly to eliminate, thus is Tanta mounting to giving sheep to the hyena to protect them.”

The Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army highly appreciate the quick, positive and unprecedented response of peace and democracy –loving Nations to the plight of the Darfuris especially of the U.N Security Council and other Heads of States appealed to Khartoum regime to reverse its decision of expelling the International Humanitarian Organizations and that of President Obama administration to appoint special envoy. However we want to remind the International Community that, the only language Khartoum extremist regime understands is the language that they themselves use, but not diplomacy and appealing, therefore we reiterate our voice of using the extreme measures against the regime in order to save the lives of the IDPs before it’s too late.
