SLM-Abdelshafi designates secretaries, establishes political bureau
Presidential Decree No. 88/2009
March 26, 2009
According to Article 11-4 under Chapter (VII) of the Constitution of the SLM/A for the Year – 2007, and after consulting with leading members of the organization, and in order to complete the organization’s structure for the SLM/A, now thereof, I, Ahmed Abdelshafi Toba, Chairman of the SLM/A, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by the constitution of the SLM/A, do hereby decree the following:-
Section 1. Title and Effective Date: Presidential Decree No. 88/2009- Designation of Specialized Secretaries. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.
Section 2. The following officers are dually designated to fill the following positions (Specialized Secretaries):
1. Dr. Adam Mohamed Ahmed – Secretary of External Affairs;
2. Mr. Azhari Eltahir Ahmed – Secretary of SLM/A External Offices;
3. Mr. Babiker Mohamed Abdalla — Secretary of Legal Affairs and Human Rights;
4. Mrs. Jane Doe – Secretary of Woman and Child Affairs;
5. Mr. Abdeljabar Sharafeldin Hassan – Secretary of Capacity Building and Training;
6. Mr. John Doe – Secretary of Youth and Students’ Affairs;
7. Mrs. Azza Alrashid – Deputy Secretary of Woman and Child Affairs.
Section 3. All competent Authorities, each within its own jurisdiction and area, shall implement this Decree. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.

Section 2. The following officers are dually designated to fill the following positions (Advisors for the SLM/A):
1. Dr. Jamal Abdelrahman Adam – Advisor for Strategic Planning;
2. Dr. John Doe – Advisor for International Cooperation;
3. Dr. John Doe – Advisor for Legal Affairs;
4. Mr. K. A. A. – Advisor for Social Affairs;
5. Mr. A. A. M. – Advisor for Organizational Affairs;
6. Miss. Rawda Mohamed Elnimairi – Advisor for Gender and Child issues;
7. Mr. A. A. M. J. – Advisor for Public Relations;
8. Major General. John Doe – Advisor for Military Affairs;
9. Major General. John Doe – Advisor for Security Affairs;
10.Mr. Abdelshafi Abdalla Abdelshafi – Advisor of Information and Media Affairs;
11.Mr. John Doe – Advisor for Land Issues;
12.Mr. A. A. M. – Advisor for Darfur Peoples’ Affairs.
Section 3. All competent Authorities, each within its own jurisdiction and area, shall implement this Decree. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.

Section 1. Title and Effective Date: Presidential Decree No. 90/2009- Designation of Permanent Representatives for the SLM/A to Regional and International organizations. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.
Section 2. The following officers are dually designated to become Permanent Representatives for the SLM/A to the following organizations:
1. Dr. K. A. A. – SLM/A Permanent Representative to the United Nations and the European Union;
2. Mr. Abaker Mohamed Abuelbashar – SLM/A Permanent Representative to the African Union.
Section 3. All competent Authorities, each within its own jurisdiction and area, shall implement this Decree. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.

According to Article 11 under Chapter (VII) of the Constitution of the SLM/A for the Year – 2007, and in order to complete the organization’s structure for the SLM/A, now thereof, I, Ahmed Abdelshafi Toba, Chairman of the SLM/A, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by the constitution of the SLM/A, do hereby decree the following:-
Section 1. Title and Effective Date: Presidential Decree No. 91/2009- Establishing the Political Bureau of SLM/A. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.
Section 2. Duties of the Political Bureau: The Political Bureau’s mandate is to approve policies and decisions made by the organization.
Section 3. The Political Bureau is composed of:
1. Chairman of The Political Bureau who is also the Chairman of the SLM/A;
2. Vice-Chairman of The Political Bureau who is also the Vice-Chairman of the SLM/A;
3. Members of the Executive Council (Specialized Secretaries);
4. Twenty five (25) appointed members.
Section 4. All powers and duties of the Command Council as stipulated in Article 8-4 under Chapter (VII) of the SLM/A Constitution for the year 2007 shall be transferred to The Political Bureau. The aforementioned article of the SLM/A Constitution shall be amended accordingly.
Section 5. All competent Authorities, each within its own jurisdiction and area, shall implement this Decree. The Decree shall enter into force upon its issuance.
