Sudanese industry minister speaks of challenges of globalization

KHARTOUM, April 1, 2004 (SUNA) — Minister of Industry Dr Jalal Yusuf al-Duqayr has affirmed that the industrial sector faces a number of challenges that include globalization and its effects and free trade.

The minister was speaking at celebration Wednesday 31 March, on the occasion of inaugurating three new factories in the context of the country’s celebration of the National Industrialization Day.

Dr Al-Duqayr urged reduction of production cost and giving concern to quality.

The minister said the occasion of the National Industrialization Day is considered as pause to assess the performance of the industrial sector and removing difficulties that face the sector.
