Sudan offers to help Somalia build financial infrastructure

May 3, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – Sudan is prepared to assist Somalia in rebuilding its financial and economic infrastructure after decades of civil war, an official said here today.

The Sudanese minister for finance and national economy Awad Al-Jaz told his Somali counterpart Sharif Adam that his government is prepared “to support Somalia in the construction and reconstruction phase after the end of the war”.

Sudan official news agency (SUNA) quoted Al-Jaz as saying that his country will share “its experience to support Somalia in the construction and reconstruction phase after the end of the war”.

“Sudan gained experience in dealing with the aftermath of war, boycotts, and sieges and faced the repercussions through determination and tenacity” Al-Jaz said.

Somalia has been seeking Sudan’s help in rebuilding its government’s institution and security forces in a bid to assert control over the lawless country.

Among other things Sudan has pledged to train Somali police officers.

The Sudanese economy minister discussed with his Somali counterpart the agreement on printing of Somali currency in Sudan. The Somali official said that his government interest in printing currency one of the most important reasons for establishing the foundations of real peace and stability in Somalia.

He said that Somalia is highly dependent on the Sudanese government in laying the foundations for peace and development and praised the support of the Khartoum to his country during the transitional government period expressing hope that bilateral trade relations between the two countries could be enhanced.

An international donors’ conference was held last month in Brussels in which countries pledged almost $200 for the reconstruction of Somalia.

This must be a story just for laugh isn’t it? The same Awad Al Jaz has signed a 52 millions dollars loan from Kuwaiti’s based Fund to fund a Dam in Eastern Sudan just last week.

Now, Al Jaz promised his Somali Pirate minister an offer to build financial infrastructure. I failed to get an answer to a zero dollar question that emerged which is; from where Old Sudan got funds to help Ocean Pirates build their financial infrastruture that was not available to build the above mentioned Dam?

If there was an elected Parliament in Sudan, Awad Al Jaz would have been sumonned to the plarliament to answer a real $60 millions dollars question instead of my zero dollar one.

Sudan has no capacity to improve warlord country like Somalia because of the following Reasons:

Cost of ICC is high on persident and NCP party’s officals.
War in Darfur is not yet controled or costing hands and legs

S.Sudan needs like Infarustratures security and finacial issues are not fulfilled by the head.

CPA in sudan is almost Lost from the channel

    Janjiweed maliches need more amunitions

Election is knocking at the door early next year

Economic crisis since the country is sactioned few years ago heat the country.

Poltical parties are not co operating to look after the nation.

Terrorism in sudan is imminent as guns smuggling’s truck show to the world last time.

And so many things which are not improved by the head.

For me it is not possible for sudan to give their counterpart’s terror country like somalia such full commitment to answer their immediate needs as sudan had a big barden to bear in the country and it is good for kenyan government to help build somalia’s stability rather then an progressive government in Khartoum.

to offical it is good to “remove anything in your eyes before seeing your brother misfortunate”

    MA MINUS OPPORTUNITY.
