Northern Bahr El-Ghazal state mourns death of finance minister
By Manyang Mayom
May 7, 2009 (AWEIL) — The minister of finance for Northern Bahr El-Ghazal state, Ajou Garang Deng, died on Tuesday while complaining of chest pain.
Aweil’s youth, elders, privates companies, NGOs and military unit gathered to mourn with late Ajou Garang’s family at a distance of 40 miles away from state capital, Aweil town.
He was buried at his village of Abiem, two kilometers from Warawar market in the northern part of Aweil East County. A memorial service was attended by two states governors, Tor Deng Mawien for Warap state and Paul Malong Awan for Northern Bhar El-Ghazal.
Governor Awan became speechless while addressing the mourners gathered on Thursday evening at Abiem village, which is the hometown of both Awan and late Ajou Garang.
“Death is not something new to us as liberators but Ajou’s death is a great loss, nowhere to be found at all levels of my expectation; this is a painful death for me,” he said.
He also added that Ajou was a connector of this state to other Sudanese states, starting from connecting his family, his clan and indeed in all levels of the Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) as well Sudan as a whole.
“Although Ajou has died, his brothers will take over the family affairs though all direction of Ajou’s creativity will not be fulfilled by his brothers,” said the governor.
Furthermore, Governor Tor Deng Mawien explained “there is nothing that we can do because Ajou was made by God and again God decided to take him away from us; we are all visitors on this world and God gives you to earth and then God will take you away again in a way he will send you to this earth after your mission mandate is finished from God’s manuscript.”
Late Ajou Garang had two wives. The second wife is Mrs. Angar Bol, who was pregnant and has remained in such shock that she was unable to explain what really caused her husband to die.
Bol cried saying that “this world is very valueless and really I do not know what actually I can do again; my dearly loved romantic husband has gone into a lasting coffin box and surely has left me behind a coffin…. God help me.”
The Northern Bahr El-Ghazal state governor further transmitted a message of First Vice President of the Republic of Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit, who encouraged state civilians to maintain togetherness despite Ajou’s death having affected various state institutions.

Here is my analysis of the reason why this finance minister might have died since southern Sudan has no intelligence community to investigate such a case.
My analysis is that, the minister of finance died from eating too much paper food since the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. Because when the peace agreement was sign, most of the Dinkas in the government started looting the development money right away.
They also started consuming too much paper food, soda, peanuts, and other high calories food. This led many Dinkas in the government becomes obese. One of the example of these obese people is the state minister of finance who pass away while eating a big meal.
Ngundeng prophecies are now becoming reality in which he foretold that the more Dinka start looting money and eating too much paper food, most will die before the referendum. Thank you Ngundeng for you prophecies.
Kuol Manyang or Nyadeng might be the next to die from eating too much while the rest of southerners are struggling in their everyday life. Dinkas!! stopping looting people money you coward bastards.
I seen one Dinka last night here in Cairo begging arab with tears in his eyes. What a shame? Now, respect the greater naath and we’ll spare your lives.
