Bashir threatens to ban SPLM in north Sudan if parties not allowed in the south

May 30, 2009 (KHARTOUM) — May 30, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir has threatened to ban the southern Sudan ruling party from operating in the northern part of the country if it does not remove the restrictions imposed on the other political parties in the south.

“In eight months Sudan will witness the first elections since the 1989 coup d’état that brought the Sudanese Islamists to the rule of the country. The Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) which rules the South has been accused by the National Congress Party (NCP) of obstructing its activities and arresting its members.

Al-Bashir, who is also the NCP chairman, urged the southern Sudan government to create the healthy environment for the democratic process adding they have to remove the ban imposed on the other southern political forces including the National Congress Party.

He further threatened to treat the southern Sudan ruling party, SPLM, reciprocally and ban it in northern Sudan if it persists in its policy of restricting the activities of the other political parties while it has the freedom to exercise political activities in northern Sudan.

“We cannot accept the existence of closed or liberated areas because the Sudan is one country and because the SPLM leaders are acting freely in northern Sudan not because they conquered it militarily but due to the CPA that we implemented and the same thing should be enforced there (southern Sudan),” he said.

Al Bashir, who returned today from Libya, was addressing the concluding session of the eighth convention of the NCP Shura [advisory] Council, on Saturday evening at the party’s premises in Khartoum.

The Sudanese president also urged the semi-autonomous southern Sudan government to redeploy the army out of the main cities saying the Sudan People’s Liberation Army is still deployed in the streets since the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement four years ago in 2005.

He also described SPLM’s skepticism and questioning the credibility of the fifth census results as an attempt to avoid the elections and returning to the people to re-invoke the mandate.

According to the published census results, southern Sudan population is estimated at 8.2 million. Southern Sudan officials have said they contest the result and put their population at 15 million.

The SPLM chairman, speaking on May 18 to the Southern Sudan Sultans conference in Bentiu, the capital of Unity State, said he is “unhappy and unsatisfied with the census results.” He also suggested reverting back to the old constituency system in the elections to avoid controversy.

Dictator and Criminal Field Marshal Omer Hassan Al Bashir, has no right in commenting on what is happening in the South, Though the War is over the South and North are still in a cold war. As long as we are not devided yet we still need to remain under the SPLA, Those southern sudanese who are in khartum are either “nyigaats” or snitches! leaving freely in big houses big cars etc. not knowing the danger that they stand apon. so shut up! and mind ur own business of killing people in Darfur but it will soon come to a halt. and u will be killed and hunged like Mussalini of Italy in WW2, or
    Saddam in 2nd Gulf war.

    To hell with you Mr.Bashir,

who cares, whether SPLM activities are suspended in the North or Not? you are only feeling guilts beacuse SPLM is making substantial political strategy with all round Sudan political parties including your NCP to bring them aboard the only vehicle without reverse-Gear (SPLM) a gateway to New Sudan of peace, justice and Equality for all in the Sudan.you have sense loosing power any minute elections are hold and that is why you wants lopeholes of creating problems before elections are reach come Feb.2010.

Your days are numbered you bastard lame duck Criminal Bashir. You shamelessly said, SPLA didnot takes Khartoum militarily but by CPA, SPLA victories of 1997-2002 made you to come to Machakos and Naivasha to avoid ABUSUFARA MACHINE GUN COMING TO PRESIDENTIAL PALACE IN KHARTOUM.

Mr.SPLA Commando is touring Khartoum street around the clock with Tank and machine gun. Bashir, try it this time and every corner of Khartoum is in trouble.

    Congratulation to SPLM

Albashir’s complains are an indication that your cow is close to deliver a baby. Just keep on current plan until some one in Khartoum makes stupid decision. Look, this is what I know about your past history of struggle. When ever Jallaba complains in Khartoum means you’re succeeding, and when you complain mean you’re not succeeding. Now, Albashir is complaining it’s the sign for their weakness and fear from unknown. Again, congratulation!!!. Albashir and his NCP must have felt heat from activities of freedom fighters in Khartoum under Cdr.Yasir Arman. Also, your last week smart move of inviting all Sudanese political parties to Juba for a conference on current situation in the country has caused them to loose their minds. Please do not listern to their empty threats. Increase your political compain in Khartoum, and let the entire North be battle ground instead of the South.

    President Bashire

Your words are so good but one thing hurts alot, You have left a Peg in your own eye and try to pick a plank in your brother eye.The quran or bible described that as being hypocrite. First of all, remove a peg in your own eye so that you would be able to see a plank in your brother’s eyes.

To make this very clear to you, Dr.Hassan Traffi had been always between his home and the prison and therefore, he didn’t much enjoy good sleep with his beloved wife since 1980s and shortly after the CPA. If I try to visualize that case, I’m 100% sure that you were the one who vitimised him simply because of having a different party.

The SPLM as a party was well aware about that but no one dare to question or threatened you about it. However, the same thing is apply here, all the parties in the South are for the SPLM responsiblities. You have no right to say anything regarding what is happening or what is not happening in the South. There is no good leader in this world except Jesus Christ or Mahamed to come back and lead us.
