Sudan & Saudi Arabia sign four agreements
June 23, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – Sudan and Saudi Arabia signed today in Jeddah four agreements related to transport, Livestock wealth and archeology, Sudan official news agency (SUNA) reported.
The agreements were crafted at the conclusion of the joint Sudanese-Saudi higher committee chaired by the agriculture ministers on both sides.
The Sudanese consul general in Saudi Arabia Mahmood Fadl said that the committee transportation of passengers and goods between the two countries, administering livestock and cooperation between Abdel-Aziz University and Sudanese Archaeology.
Sudan was represented by agriculture minister Abdel-Halim Al-Mutaa’fi and Saudi Arabia was represented by minister Fahd bin Abdel-Rahman.
SUNA reported that the volume of trade between Sudan and Saudi Arabia is in excess of $800 million. Saudi Arabia is also the largest Arab investor in Sudan with 314 projects worth $4.3 billion.
