GOSS presidential adviser for religious affairs dies in Juba

July 20, 2009 (JUBA) — Thousands of Southerners today mourned a southern Sudan presidential advisor, Fr. George Kinga Longoko, who was called to eternal rest at Juba Teaching Hospital after long illness on Monday morning at 9.30 am local time.

Late Kinga, a retired catholic priest will be remembered for playing patriotic role in convincing his Toposa community to support SPLM/A fighting for the rights of marginalized Sudanese.

A memorial prayer will be held at St. Joseph Parish in Juba attended by First Vice-President of the Republic and GOSS president among others senior dignitaries; thereafter some members will travel to Kapoete on road while the body will be flown to Kopoeta South on July 21by government of southern Sudan.

The late will be laid to rest on Wednesday July 22 in his own home area as he had requested in a written will.

Six hour before his death, Sudan Tribune visited him in hospital where he advised to continue fighting for the right of the oppressed people of Sudan. He also appealed for unity among people of Eastern Euatoria state and Southern Sudan.

The late had been the presidential advisor on religious affairs of Goss and is survived with three wives and six children- four boys and two girls.

    How came presidential adviser die on this local hospital without good treatment, is it HIV/AID that I know has no cure and shall finish those big people on future? if not adviser suppose to be taken out side rather then this money use for corruption.
