Turkish firms to supply medicines to Sudan
July 21, 2009 (ANKARA) — Sudan has signed 27 million USD contracts with Turkish pharmaceutical firms on Tuesday in Ankara.
Sudan’s minister of state for health, Hassan Abu-Aisha and the Turkish companies signed two agreements on medical supplies and veterinary medicine.
Before the signing ceremony the visiting Sudanese state minister and his Turkish counterpart, Zafer Caglayan, held a meeting to discuss ways to boost cooperation between the two countries.
The Turkish state minister for health said Turkey is keen to develop bilateral cooperation with Sudan. He further added he would pay a visit to Sudan with an important delegation of businessmen soon.
