Eastern Equatoria arrest 3 people suspected of killing NCP official
August 21, 2009 (JUBA) — Local authorities in Western Equatoria State arrested three people suspected of participating in the killing of a regional leading female official there last week.
Unknown gunmen killed Mariam Biringi the Chairperson of the Women’s Desk of National Congress Party (NCP), in Yambio, the capital of western Equatoria State on the evening of Friday August 14.
The murder embarrassed southern Sudan ruling party, and provided a good opportunity for the National Congress Party to accuse the SPLM of restricting the freedom of other political parties.
The NCP sent a high ranking delegation led by presidential adviser Ali Tamim Fartag who paid a visit to Yambio to offer their condolences on the death of Biringi. The delegation also held a series of meetings in Juba with the different sections of the party in southern Sudan.
John Gabriel, state minister of education, led a SPLM delegation to express condolences to the NCP section in the capital of WES. He briefed the NCP that the state police had arrested three people suspected of Biringi killing.
During a meeting held in Yambio, Fartag announced that the NCP would take in charge Biringi family and a house in Khartoum will be offered to them.
Mrs. Agnes Lukudu, NCP Chairperson for the southern sector, who was part of the delegation, in a statement to Sudan Radio Service accused the SPLM of the killing of the head of the Women’s Desk in WES.
The killers “were in a land-cruiser. Nobody would drive around in a land-cruiser at night except for an organized force. We are waiting for a signed statement from the government of Western Equatoria,” she said on August 19. “The boy who is now in the hospital is telling us that he knew the tribe of this people from the Arabic they spoke,” she further said.

Eastern Equatoria arrest 3 people suspected of killing NCP official
Southern Sudan as a Nation, needs a legitimate laws instead of giving everyone freedom randomly. It was stated that Southern Sudanese women should have a share of 25% in the Southern Sudan Government’s position. As a matter of fact and according to the report of the job title of Mrs Mariam Bringi, she was a “Chairman of the women’s desk of National Congress Party(NCP) not a Chairman of the women desk in the National Congress Party. There is a different between OF and IN as they are in the category of preposition.
When the Late Mariam Bringi is reported as a Chairman “OF’ the Women Desk of National Congress Party, it mean that Mariam Bringi, was nominated by the National Congress Party to exercise the political views of NCP on behave of the women in Yambio who are supporting the NCP. On the other hand, if the report was stated that Mariam Bringi was a Chairman of the Women Desk “IN” National Congress Party, then it mean that the SPLM/SPLA was the one appointed Mrs Mariam Bringi to represent the Women in National Congress Party who are supporting the SPLM/SPLA Moves. There is a great different between OF and In when one intended to use them as prepositions.
On my side, I vetoed all those charges applied on the SPLM/SPLA as some others people tried to blame the SPLM/SPLA for this brutality atrocity. First of all, the subject of this discussion is the “”Killing of the NCP official”” who Mrs Mariam Bringi. My question is that, what bring the NCP office to Yambio? Second, why Mrs Mariam Bringi’s family should be given a house by the Khartoum Government? This show that Khartoum Government was the one nominated this woman to become a chairman of the Women of the National Congress party in Yambio. Third, the boy who was been hospitalized in hospital said that he knew those suspects tribes who alleged killing on Mrs Mariam Bringi according to the Arabic language in which they were been speaking.
There is something which I wants to tell you guys that Southern Sudan is like an “Object floating on the water”. Everyone needs leadership for his or her own prestige. Take example of some certaines Parties like SPDF, SSIM, SSDF, SPLM/DC, SPLM/UNITED, ERM and so forth. All of these parties in Southern Sudan needs to rule, but did SPLM/SPLA registered any one of this party to exercise its political wing in Southern Sudan? I believed that the SPLM/SPLA registered none of these parties at all. But, why these parties practiced their political campaign in Southern Sudan? Just as easy as 1,2,3 and so forth, the Khartoum Government is the one sponsoring all these parties for the seeks to derail the SPLM/SPLA from demanding the right of the Southern Sudanese who are thirsty of freedom.
My blame for the death of the Late Mrs Mariam Bringi is still goes to her although she died. Mrs Mariam Bringi, was an agent working secretly on the behave of the NCP which is stand for the National Congress Party. I do have a peripheral clues that Mrs Mariam Bringi is a member of ERM/SSDF and the ERM/SSDF was formed out of the concern of the SPLM/SPLA. It is not ERM/SSDF alone. There are some others extremists parties like SPLM/DC, SSIM and SPDF which were been registered by the NCP. NCP is the party of the Northern Sudan, but why Mrs Mariam Bringi become the Chairman of the Women Desk of the National Congress Party in Yambio and not in Khartoum? This show that the extremists parties in Southern Sudan are evident of the “roly-poly”. In short, I don’t like this incident which happen on the Late Mrs Mariam Bringi.
