Sudanese President invited to Africa-South America summit
August 29, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, has extended an invitation to his Sudanese counterpart Omer Al-Bashir to participate at the Second Africa- South America Summit scheduled to take place in Caracas at the end of next month.
September’s Summit between African and South American nations will seek a joint vision between both continents, and construct the basis for the pluri-polar world that has already been born.
Since the first Africa- South America Summit held in Abuja, Nigeria in November 2006, it was agreed that the ASA Summit would be held every two years in Africa and South America on a rotational basis.
Sudanese foreign minister has appreciated the invitation which affirms firmness of the solidarity between the peoples of Africa and Latin America.
Minister Deng Alor also hailed the progressing relations between Sudan and Venezuela.
Sudan has appointed its first ambassador to Venezuela two weeks ago. Venezuela has established diplomatic relations with Sudan in 2005 as President Hugo Chavez’s administration seeks stronger ties with African nations.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has an outstanding arrest warrant against the Sudanese president issued in March 2009 in connection to war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Darfur.

I don’t think that el bashir will go to Africa-South America summit due to his outstanding arrest warrant by ICC. Sudanese airways cannot fly non-stop to Venezuela, the airplane must stop for refilling at lest two times before it get there. However, el bashir will be arrested if he stops in any country on the way to summit.

They’re brave when they rape women and children, but they will never look the ICC in the eye because no criminals would want to drink a cup of tea while a judge stares at them.

Brilliant and wonderful idea to have that summit between Africa continent’s leaders and counterpart South-America continent’s leaders, but would the both continents combine and condemn the bloody evildeor Sudanese president Omer Al-Bashir for his evil crime done against his people in Sudan? I would be very happy too to hear that Omer Al-Bashir has been asked about his crimes committed against humanity in Sudan from that summit in September.
Thanks.
Lok T. Simon.

Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez! You made mistake by inviting ICC’s most wanted genocide criminal. Please cancel invitation?
