25 people killed after clashes in Upper Nile

September 5, 2009 (KHARTOUM) — Some 25 people have been killed and more dozens wounded in clashes in the Upper Nile region of south Sudan, a SPLA spokesman said on Saturday.

Fighters from the Shilluk ethnic group attacked an ethnic Dinka settlement in Bony-Thiang, north of the state capital Malakal, early on Friday, killing 20 people, the SPLA said.

In a retaliatory attack, the Dinka launched a raid on nearby Shilluk village of Bon, killing five people including a woman and two children.

The southern Sudan army said the attackers were part of a militia belonging to the SPLM-DC led by Dr. Lam Akol.

However, Akol dismissed the accusation saying it is part of SPLM campaign to distort the image of his party after a successful founding convention.

People of the World, in Southern Sudan SPLM protects, SPLM-DC destroys. SPLA librates militia drives the librated back into oppression and slavery. Lam we the people of Southern Sudan knew you and are well aware of your planing. It is a matter of time. Wait until we burst.
And dorment leaders in SPLM wake up. When guns were being distributed to civilian, what were you expecting. Warn to you too. Fail us, and we the people will hold you accountable too.

Killings have become normal news in failed regions like Southern Sudan. Even Somalia is better than us as per killing records.

SPLA is not neutral as you can see from their statement. Obviously it’s siding with Dinka ethnic group as a general policy since its inception.

Therefore, other ethnic groups are left with no options but to defend themselves by all means. I strongly urge other tribes to copy Lou Nuer and Murle in order to put an end to Dinka madness, once and for all.

This is what we expect of this power hungry political demagogue. He is the real instrument of the NIF to disturb peace and progress in South Sudan. But Lam must know this rrality: we will never and will not allow anybody to reverse our march to freedom.

This is one of the reasons SPLM-DC wanted to stop in the South Sudan. The SPLM failed to control its citizens from fighting themselves year in year out.
Have you ever heard of any tribal clashes in the NORTH???????????????
Darfur issue is not Tribal but such game of the ruling NCP which will stop immediately when SPLM-DC takes over the South because the President will be wide minded person compared to the default leader caused by the stupid Ugandan Chopper.
It beats my reason why Kuol Manyang Juuk nominated him instead of nominating himself.
    God bless south Sudan.
    God bless SPLM-DC
God bless the people of the Sudan.

lets not overreact here,NCP is playing its card right here, elements of NCP carried out this attacts inorder to get the people killing eachother and cause more trouble in the south,we have to be wise and treat this incident with care investigate then make a final judgement.the armed men who attacked were wearing masks in their faces n military clothes,so nobody knows who they are untill now, what is the reason for attacking a dinka chief?this is to make start a tribal violence which could flare up if not handle with care, there has been no known tensions between dinka and shilluk in that area.it is the usual Arab game of divide and rule but at a failure this time.

How do we proved that SPLM is a Dinka government? answer is simple. How dose SPLA say that the families whom their families were killed are militias while they were revenging for their children and women that were kill by SPLM militia? Dose SPLA/M want those whom their families were killed to keep silent like what they did in Anahakder and Malakal? Why SPA talk when those Shilluk guys adopted the Dinka mentalities if SPLA is not a Dinka government? Has SPM/A talke when Dinka attacked Shilluk in Anhakder and Malakal? “Give me break man” all people know that Dinka SPLM/A need to attack Shilluk civilians that is why SPLA linked them to militains so SPLA/M could send its amy to kill those Shilluk and Iam sure they are going to do that soon. My advices to Shilluk who are living there is to stand by and guarded to your families. Your have been and will be deeling with Dinkas SPLA/M. Get yourselves whatever could secure yourselves and your families. Do not think there is a government in south which will protect you and your families. It would have been good if you did that when they killed your people in Anhakder and Malakal. To those who think that Iam from Shilluk because of my writing,Iam not. Iam just telling the consequences of luck of rule of law in south Sudan. Good Luck .

This is just the begining, let the narrow minded salva and his associates know that the shilluk are the most peaceful tribe in the south .I think history and statistics can tell that,SO acussing shilluk and LAM in particular by SPLA/M IS directly signilizing the failed policies of salva and his corrupt Goss.in the first place the attack was on the shilluk people and those georgi arthur sent killers were not brought to justice instead the master minded plotters called for the disarmmament of the shilluk,So when the play is reversed why is it amatter of concern .it is only 25 killed but i know more are going to be killed not only by the shilluk but by other tribes remember what happened in yambio..
