Motorcyclist wounded by robber on road to Rumbek

September 11, 2009 (RUMBEK) — The driver belonging to the Minister of
Lakes state Parliamentary Affairs was shot wounded on Thursday at 5:00
PM between Aluakaluak and Akot by robbers. He was on his way with a
friend to Rumbek, the capital of Lakes state, riding a motorcycle.

Agar Philip Abdalla, an experienced driver who usually drives Minister
H.E. Martin Athiem Arier, suffered a wound to his chest.

“We were riding the motorcycle. I was seated behind and my friend who
was driving; as we arrived in the middle of the forest, a group of
gunmen appeared on our front and told us to stop and as we were trying
to stop the motorcycle immediately one of the robbers started firing
his gun on us targeting the cyclist in the front, but in fact the
bullet missed him and caught me in my chest,” he recounted.

Agar Philip explained the incident to Sudan Tribune while on a
hospital bed. He said that he fell down from the motorbike and his
friend did not give himself time to stop any longer. Rather, he rushed
to a nearby police station and informed the local authority.

Therefore, those robberies took him off from the roadside to the
middle of the forest and took away all the money in his pocket, an
amount of 500 Sudanese Pounds. After they completed looting him while
his chest was bleeding, the man who had wounded him insist on
finishing his life but two men among his mates convinced him to
surrender the gun first to his mate and then kill him by his hand.
They told him that “we give you this gun to scare people and not to
kill.”

“All in all, they instructured me to leave their territory and I did

it; as I tried to move to the roadside, I collapsed and defiantly I
managed to reached the roadside whereby wildlife forces met me on the
roadside to help me,” said Philip.

Aber, Wulu and Yirol roads have become insecure due to robberies.

    ever thing will end in the wish of god I mean the Government of Awet Akon.

    Saddam Hussian was a every happy president in 21 century, at the end god gave him same capital punishment of miseable death like what he used to do to his citizen.

    and upon his death, million of Iragies people were celebrate, because they were smiling new system was approching.

    Awet Akon who dont care about the people who don’t want to die in their early age, cry of their family members is receiving by god every day .

    and mr Governor, as you are a only one who is happy in the state.

    Dear Mayor,

    Talking against the Governor is already a crime alone. You have also contributed to the incident indirectly, the Lakes government had been trying to collect illegal arms from civilians who have owned them in Lakes State but the same people who want leadership like you use to sabotage it.
