The international meeting which is scheduled to start on October 6-7, aims to make an extensive expertise to the conflict and consider ways to settle the conflict and seal reconciliation.

Gration will head today to Moscow to participate in the international conference on Darfur hosted by the Special Envoy for Sudan of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Margelov.

Other Sudan envoys and representatives from the United Nations, the European Union, China, the Netherlands, France, UK, Finland and Sweden as well as the African Union, the League of Arab States, international humanitarian organizations, rectors of higher educational establishments and research institutes have will participate in the meeting.

On the margins of the conference, Senator Margelov will host a meeting of the E6, comprising Envoys from China, the European Union, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Since July Gration also is sponsoring in the Ethiopian capital an initiative to reunite some factions of Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) which includes SLM-Abdel Shafi, SLM-Unity but also the United Resistance Front of Idris Abu Garda, a group dissident from JEM.

“In Tripoli, Special Envoy Gration will continue his efforts to build cohesion among key Darfuri armed movements in support of an anticipated relaunch of the Doha peace process later this month,” said today the State Department.

Gration is expected to be in Tripoli on October 8.

The rebel factions said they want to hold the unity meeting in Darfur in order to be far from foreign pressures as to allow the participation of the maximum of rebel commanders.

Mahgoub Hussein a leading member of Sudan’s Liberation Revolutionary Forces, a new rebel group formed last month in Tripoli, said the SLRF regroups the majority of the SLM rebels and Gration should work with them.

However Gration in the past blamed the Libyan initiative saying is does not include the Fur, the most important ethnic group in the troubled region and focuses on the Zagahwa ethnic group.

People of Darfur would not expect any good from this man named Gration. I think he is a real pain on the dicks of all Sudanese including KIIR.
The man would say something on the media, and when he is asked; why did you said that? He would answer I was misunderstood. As if he speaks language of the birds.
Scot is a beat and crooked guy; for the sake of his personal success he could mire all Sudanese in the mud. Believe it or not one day you will discover that I am right when all Sudanese are handed down by the Americas to NCP to slaughter them like birds.
