Sudanese-Qatari ministerial talks to begin in Doha

KHARTOUM, April 16, 2004 (SUNA) — Minister of Finance and National Economy Al-Zubayr Ahmad Hasan, is due to lead Sudan’s delegation to the meeting of the third session of the joint Sudanese-Qatari ministerial committee, scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, on 20 April.

The Qatari side will be chaired by the minister of economy and trade, Ahmad bin Muhammad. Sudan’s ambassador to Qatar, Muhammad Ahmad Mustafa al-Dabi, said in a statement to Suna the meeting would review implementation of the agreement signed between the two sides as well as the investment opportunities available in Sudan.

The two sides will also discuss signing of agreements in the domains of youth, sports, tourism, voluntary and humanitarian work, social welfare, heath and veterinary domains.

In this regard, the ambassador revealed that the ministerial committee would coincide with the meeting of the Sudanese and Qatari businessmen.
