Sudan electoral commission warns against international monitors

December 5, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese electoral commission warned that some election monitors have ulterior motives during the upcoming 2010 elections other than simply watching out for the integrity of the process.

The secretary general of the electoral board Galal Mohamed Al-Amin said in press statements in the city of Al-Obaid in the state of Kordofan that some monitors coming from countries “with hostile attitude” towards Sudan may attempt to fuel ethnic tensions similar to Zimbabwe and Kenya.

Al-Amin pointed out that the law does not allow monitors to interfere in the technical work of the commission or make statements in the press adding that some political parties “made a hobby” out of complaining “to foreigners” on the unfairness of the elections.

Sudan in the past has expressed openness to receiving international monitors for the elections. Opposition parties have accused the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) of violating the elections law in the voter registration process.

Al-Amin reiterated the keenness of the commission for holding fair and free elections.

NCP Ja’alyeen tribal thugs and their paid agents such as Abel Alier must stop intimidating the international monitors. Their is no country in the world that has hostile attitude towards Sudan except Al Beshir Ja’alyeen tribal thugs themselves are the enemy number one of the state of Sudan and the Sudanese people. They attempts to apply their demagogic appeals to Sudanese people that there is a certain coutry or countries out side there which against the Sudan.

This is a pure deflection of the truth and the fact that it is actually the NCP and their Ja’lyeen thugs who called themselves leaders who are the severe threats to the state of Sudan.

Fine… we can see now the Sudanese Electoral Commission capable of even know what is inside inners of others and their intentions!

NCP’s history tells clearly that they are not honest; they can forger and cheat in order to win the election. I guess this will be the case regarding upcoming election in April 2010.

The international monitors have no interest to spy on Sudan. But those in the NCP and their allies in the “National Electoral Commission” will not rest unless they are sure they can find suitable atmosphere to continue their forgery.

It is clear in this statement that this guy called Galal is a spokesman for the NCP. He cannot be a nuetral member of the electoral commission. Hence the national electoral commission is already a corrupt agent forging legitimacy for the action of this regime of terror, by taking side in the conduct of the process. This is serious matter. This person must be asked to resign if NEC. needs some credibility.

The monitors are not just bystanders. They must tell the world what is going in the conduct of the election. If they can’t do that, there is no need for them to be there in the first place.

    Dear Secretary,

The International Observers have been mentioned in the Peace agreement (CPA) in 2005 if you may go through such books, no way for you to quote or to prevent them to interfere that is their work to protect the CPA implementation.

Why do you complain whilst your chairman for the commission (Abel Alier) doesn’t, shame on you Arabs.

    Thank
