Now Darfur peace talks are scheduled to take place in Doha by the end of the next moth. This step is decided by the mediation after more than a year since the appointment of the Chief Mediator Mr. Djibril Bassolé and the designation of Qatar as host country for the negotiations.

The move comes also after miscellaneous efforts by some neighboring countries and the controversial US envoy to reunite the rebel groups.
