Speaking at the celebration of 54th anniversary of independence Al-Bashir praised to efforts exerted by his government to implement the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and slammed those who are bidding on obstacles encountered during its implementation.

“Days are going towards the holding of elections (…) and will come the date of referendum where (people) have to say their word without pressure. We hope, with determination, that unity would be the fruit of peace and its biggest reward,” he said

He further said that 2010 would be a year to boost confidence to the maximum, adding that Sudan has overcome in the past few days major challenges from which it came out with agreements related to laws of free choice.

“If the unity was an expression of what we look forward to, we want it to be a unity that equals the efforts made in its cause… a unity in which the citizens are equals in rights and duties,” Bashir stressed.

The two peace partners the National Congress (NCP) and the Sudan people’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) have managed to avert a major political crisis that was caused by disagreements on a package of laws required to be passed by the parliament to adhere with the CPA delievrables.

This incluced the South Sudan and Abyei referndum law? as well as popular consultation bill for South Kordofan and Blue Nile.

On Darfur, the Sudanese president promised to ink a peace deal with the rebels in the foresseble future.

“We promise you that the peace circle will be complete, God willing, so as to be a really comprehensive peace that will soon be enjoyed by the beloved parts of Darfur and its steadfast and generous people” Bashir said.

He referred to the upcoming Darfur peace talks hosted by Qatar and supported by the African Union and the Arab League, along with other international players.

The Sudanese president said the whole world, with the exception of a few with a ulterior motives, had acknowledged that Darfur is now more or less peaceful.

Referring to the International Criminal Court indictment against him, Al-Bashir said the people of Sudan had taught “the arrogant” lessons in defiance and patriotism when they tried to harm its sovereignty by targeting him.

Ha ha Mr BASHIR, even a chicken is now aware of your genocide that you have done to the people of South during the 21 years and Durfur for the last 6 years. Nothing is going to change like voting for unity with your government and people in particular. GOSS has given us the hint that “voting for unity will make us live second class life” this is true and everyone know what they are going to do on April. Dream hard about unity before the reality come to your face after April this year.

The Darfurians and Abyei Museryias are the most used army that Bashier used for long aganist SPLM,and at the same time Basheir killed all your people.
Now he nows that South is getting out and there might be Challenges and that was the reasopn he(Bashier) want to make peace with you.
Please knows that your right will be interrupted if you missed this chance of ICC against Bashier.

Southerners should embrace unity on equal terms. It is good for the South in the long run to remain part of the united Sudan. After all, black people will one day rule Sudan indefinitely because we have the numbers to back us up. But we have separatist shouting loudly now trying to break up Sudan just because it sounds good to have a country of your own.

This is a sad chapter in Sudan’s history. We are leaving our brothers in Darfur, Blue Nile, and South Kordofan to continue suffering marginalization while we enjoy the fruit of separation. It is like ditching your friends after achieving the objective. This is selfish and Southerners should not stand for it.

Mr Basir, you are a disgrace to the people of South Sudan, Darfur and the marginalised areas. There is no doubt that it is sad for many of us to see our country disintegrate before our eyes. It will be difficult time, day, and year for the Republic of Sudan, it’s perhaps well to ask what kind of a nation we are, and what direction we want to move in…But as we all witness… the cruel system in Khartoum created by your government forced the oppressed ethnic groups to decide their fate…

Speaking of the coming of the referendum and self determination for the people of Southern Sudan in 2011, the concept of free independent south Sudan seems to be unavoidable in the lives of people republic of Southern Sudan–no matter what you think and do, It’s a Change for the betterment of future lives for the people of South Sudan, a Change that is positive and can be rewarding….separation will give us the incentive and energy to stand on our own feet and walk for ourselves instead of leaning on others who mean our people no good.

There are endless numerous ways in which the people of Southern Sudan have presented to the government of Sudan and the government of National Congress party in particular our fair demands to preserve the unity of Sudan in what is so called “make unity attractive” but to make unity attractive is a nightmare to the system in Khartoum…than to disintegrate the country…If the government of Sudan truly repents of its sins against people of South Sudan, Darfur and other marginalised areas and atones by giving them their true share of power, resources, human dignity and the wealth it had denied them for the last 50 years ,then the government of Sudan can save herself. And that is what we mean by making “UNITY ATTRACTIVE” which should have been done 4 yrs ago. But if the government of Sudan waits for the wills , and the spirit of the oppressed groups to step in and force her to make a just settlement, It will disintegrate this entire country apart into 4 or 5 countries…Darfur is obvious to follow South Sudan in its struggle for self determinations, and subsequently other oppressed regions will follow!!

    Advice to you…

Please leave the country now and surrunder yourself to ICC while the door is still opened, than waite later when window will be the only option available for you…

My dear countrymen, Darfurian in the West,Founj in the East and all Junubin in South Sudan my message to you is clear and simple.
Don’t let yourselves be confuse by the confused elements like President Al-Bashir and his allies.Anyway, what has he done in his 21 years of leadership.I wonder if he portrayed the unity and equality he’s talking about.

In addition, which citizens is Mr.president Omar referring to when he adamantly killed both the Darfurian and Southerners in thousands and displace millions. He should not lie to us any more because we are victims of Khartoum government.

I think and strongly believed that this is the last kick of dieing horse.2011 will be the sweetest part of CPA.I am really sick of Arabs dictatorship and misuse of our natural resources.

All of us know that a country’s fate is not a joke.

There is saying, saying that you will not know me unless you try somebody else. I think H E President Albashir has done great deeds during his 20 years in office and time has come to leave for somebody else. The Man has set the standards of national achievements, political awareness putting the wagon on the right track ready for another capable man to drive and that right man will be a legitimate free choice of the people of the SUDAN.
