The former foreign minister, who splint from the SPLM and established his own party in June 2009, was banned by the southern Sudan government from exercising his political activities in the South. But the Constitutional said illegal GOSS decision in this respect.

Salva Kiir, SPLM candidate for southern Sudan government president, recently pledged to allow his sole contender to campaign freely in the semi-autonomous region.

Two week ago Akol launched his electoral campaign in Malakal, capital of Upper Nile State, where he pledged if elected President of Southern Sudan Government to curb corruption, promote democratic freedoms economic development in the region.

    DR Lam Akol,

Even though you think that your knowledge or ambition can help the South, then we South Sudanese reject your contribution in South politics till 2019 because we know you very well in our struggle.

I thought you like your time to be valuable than wasting it in the compaign because you are sweating for nothing that you will gain. You better go and begged Bashier government so that they can accomodate you as arefugee. It would be helpful not to come here(South).
    Thanks

Traitor Lam is leaving on borrowed times. He will always be remembered for his political promiscuity. South is not going to bet on a guy who will trade his mother in for a political office.

He is morally corrupt to be an effective fighter of corruption. He has no agenda for the development of South. So why exactly does he wants to run in the South? He is the chosen candidate for the NCP. He is practically paid to make a fool of himself in front of southern masses.

    Friends,

Mr. Akol has launched his campaign on corruption, insecurity, and possible development he would bring to the South if elected president.
Well, those are the things we can hear everywhere from anyone who needs to win election. Nevertheless, Individual history is very significant to people with an impact on what that leader will do for them.
I would like you to go over these questions:

What are the qualities of a true leader?

Do we really want selfish and greedy leader?

Or do we need kind, calm, and a loving leader?

How are we going to trust that person if elected?

Is it through what we knew from him already or what we will learn from him when he is given a job?

Is South Sudan ready for inconsistent leader or consistent leader?

Do we want wick and a failed leader, or tested and trustworthy person? Who of the two you think is your favorite one?

And who can actually side with people during the hour of mournings, fears, and inevitable deaths without any regret in sharing that fate with his people?

Without guilt of trace, we know Kiir and Akol by our books.
Their contributions during our struggle are still fresh in our memories. We owe them due credits in any chance and always. However, they are now campaigning for one seat: the one South Sudan’s seat and presidency.
People have to be more judgmental through their campaigns and able to know their distinct characteristics before one perfers other over another one. Selection is a self-identity. Democracy comes with defination of voices when persons are put down by human incompetencies. And as it is, people do give their voices to the one they trust most to deliver their voices effectively to reach their very desiring end. That is the reason why people look up to their leader when they need their voices out there. This time, therefore, we need someone with strong sense of leadership. We need someone with history of endurance. We need a well trained driver rather than untrained one, in order for us to get home safely without fearing those bumps ahead of us. we need our voices to be heard through one Kiir we KNOW. SPLM is the only people’s party, left and right are combined one in it.

ST should have focus mainly on Lam Akols campaign and his message, all this things of he was harrassed was long time ago and everyone read about it here many times, as inline with the title of this news, the reporter/editior should have focus on the launching of the campaign this saturday , how it went and what was talked about, also was Lam harrasssed or stopped during the launch of his campaign? reporters should have some objectivity in their reports not just empty reports, there is nothing new reader got from this news.
