E. Equatoria governor-elect vows to form representative cabinet

April 30, 2010 (JUBA) — The Eastern Equatoria governor elect vowed to form a representative government and share resources to promote development in the whole state.

Louis Lobong Lojore said the government he will form in the near coming days will equitably be represented by all the eight counties in Eastern Equatoria State, adding that will be in term of distribution of resources and ministerial positions

Mr. Lobong said the equitable distribution of resources is meant to promote even developmental opportunities to all the eight counties of the state. Lobong added that Eastern Equatoria State is a blessed State with plenty of resources that for long had not been made use of, citing cement discovered in his homeland, the greater Kapoeta, gold’s, and diamonds.

The governor-elect dispelled allegations that his government would transfer the state capital adding that Torit is the capital and only the parliament can take such decision. Further, he called upon rumours mongers not to confuse the citizens but advise the state government on developmental project and promote reconciliation and unity to help people live together.

Hundreds of SPLM supporters on Tuesday turned up at the party offices in Torit to celebrate the election success after the National Election Commission declared Mr. Lobong as the winner of state governorship.

The National Elections Commission is yet to announce the winners of parliamentary elections for the national, Southern Sudan and the State legislative assemblies.

That is what we are going to do in EES/Torit this time, forget about tribals conflict which is dividing people apart. your government will be the strongest of all.
That is the leadership we need but please remember there has been problems in some ministries which need Strong minister and good leadership skills to bring about changes and lasting developmental planns

I see Equatoria as well equipped state, having ladies as governor mean living without leader. Ladies get influences easily as the result we never had an improvement until this day.
