Bashir calls elections ‘a blow to enemies of Sudan’

May 1, 2010 (KHARTOUM) — The Sudanese President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir said today that his victory in the recent in the elections was not won against other political parties, but rather against the enemies of Sudan ‘who imagined that the elections will [bring] the creative chaos”.

Bashircane.jpgBashir who was addressing crowd hosted by his re-election campaign committee said that Sudan’s enemies failed in their siege of Sudan and their support to the rebels “to their disappointment”.

He noted that the Sudanese expatriates in Washington, London and Paris and The Hague voted in his favor at a rate that exceeded 80%.

Sudanese voted from April 11-15 for president, legislative and local representatives in the country’s first multi party election since 1986. Southerners also voted for the leader of their semi-autonomous government. Bashir got 68% of the votes which he hoped that it would help him defy the International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant, in which he is accused of ordering a campaign of murder, torture and rape in Sudan’s Darfur region.

But the election, meant to mark Sudan’s transformation into a democratic state, were marred by widespread charges of fraud, including from Kiir’s Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), suggesting the new ruling coalition will be a fragile one.

Bashir’s victory was aided by the withdrawal of his two most important challengers, former Prime Minister Sadiq Al- Mahdi, who heads the Umma party, and Yasser Arman, the SPLM candidate. Both parties accused the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) headed by Bashir of fraud and vote rigging.

The NCP chief said that despite the media failed attempts to undermine the role of women in elections, but they constituted 60% of the total voters and also provided food at the polling stations. He also hailed the Sudanese people, for acting in a “civilized manner” guaranteeing security and stability during the electoral process.

Bashir mocked international observers saying that they have mobilized their monitors “to report massacres and killings” but that they were also disappointed. He also praised security who secured elections at all stages, “even in the remote parts of Darfur which did not witness any incident of violence during the electoral process”.

Both European Union and Carter Center observers have said that the elections did not meet international standards, but stopped short of echoing opposition allegations of widespread rigging.

He won the election. We may hate to admit it, but that’s the truth. We should focus on the referendum. Al Bashir has pledged to support whatever the outcome of the referendum.

Those weak heart who were supporting Omer Bashier to be their president so that he will cater the referendum to them are short sighted people who can not see things beyond their eyes level.
Where is this traitor called Gatwech so that he can start seeing the act his master. I wish,Arman would not be withdraw in the race so that the South will go to the referendum without this dictator bashier in power.
Yes, we have to aggressively respond to this criminal by all means and not look for food like those food lovers/Naath who like bribes from Jallaba when the war happened. Most weak heart in the South must be ready, this should not be left alone to Dinka, Nuba mountains, Blue Niles, and the fews loyals.
    Thanks

Albashir is fooling himself if he thinks that he is already of the HOOK of ICC, for the international crime court has not let go of the charges and arrest warranty against him.one of the ICC court adviser recently was quoted as saying that although Mr Albashir won the election it doesnt mean that he will be free of charge but she observed that bashir should distinguish between political and legal processes. that means politically he may have won the election but legally his head is demanded.

the international community seems now to play soft politics with him because he is seen has a vital player in the implementation of the CPA. so they let him now to enjoy himself until when he executed the last provision in the CPA which is the referendum then the game of his arrest will resurface.

Bashir should notice that being in power, doesnt mean he will not be reached any time soon, there are a lot of examples of heads of states or military leaders who were wanted by international court, in Africa there was Charles Taylor of Liberia, and in former Yugoslavia, there are the two Serbs Radovan Karadži? and Ratko Mladi? they were powerful and have many loyalist but they fall at the hands of Justice eventually.

Bashir can go to those countries which didn’t sign the Rome statue but how many of them? unit now , he visit several countries such as Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Qatar. Saudia Arabia but avoided south Africa(Zuma inauguration), kenya, Turkey(Islamic conference), and others in fear of being arrested. in fact there are 111 countries which signed the Rome Statue, how long for him to not visit those countries, and always send representatives?
in International conferences nobody wants to sit near him or talk to him he is an outcast, can you imagine even the drug inflicted Columbian threaten that if Bashir was called in for a photo-op where they were part of , they will boycott it. at the end bashir had to accept and didnt show up at the photo-op.

the African-France Summit which was sheduled to be held in Egypt in sharm Elshiek was cancelled because of Albashir, president Hosni mubarak insist that Albashir should attend but the French Nicholas sarkozi was adamant that if bashir attend then he will not attend. at the end the summit was cancelled to be held in Egypt and instead reallocated to France Nice.

Can you see dear readers what situation Albashir is in now, even though he might won the election he will not escape the ICC.

Hello Sudanese,Your father who is killer is happy about his fault winning. However,South Sudanese are basicing on Athor rather than their the most killer of the South Sudan because Athor is the one person,so Southerners should forgive him and go on with new development of our nation like our brothers who did the same which Athor did. I encourage Salva Mayardit to see this situation in order he should not lose Padang in the future as he knows Padang is the supporters of this government which he aheads. The time of South Sudan freedom is almost, but devil idea wants to drive South back like 1972.Athor is our hero even if he did this. Who will say he is a cleaner in Sudan? If Southernes fail to give a wrong statment about this judgmet, they will count their trees like 1972 becaues Arabs will own you again. Do not let your dream dy like 72 please.

    NSV’s cheap propagandist,

    Ahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…………..

Dinka Boy, I hope you wrote this cheap article on the so-called ‘The New Sudan Vision’ after I challenged the website yesterday that they (Bor-Dinka journalists) NEVER wrote news about the Jonglei’s deadly rivalry between Kuol Manyang Juuk and George Athor Deng while they rushed to writing three different articles about the Bentiu incidence.

Today they have responded to my challenge but came up with poor and unprofessional article.

The Twic East writer of Jonglei state, calling himself Deng Dekuek, even added tribally driven rumors about the so-called attack by Nuer on his separated or far distanced ‘Twic West’ in Warrap state. What a cheap connection.!

There is no specific source mentioned at all in that unprofessional cheap propaganda of attacks by the Nuer. The writer even came up with his victory of imaginations that the attackers were killed. What a rare event?

Below read your cheap article as a result of response to my yesterday comment challenging the Bor-Dinka journalists to write something about their Jonglei incident.

    Ahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa……..

Tension in Southern Sudan as SPLA is attacked in Upper Nile and Twic West is raided

Written by Deng Dekuek, http://www.newsudanvision.com, NSV
    Friday, 30 April 2010 22:47

(Perth, WA, NSV) – In a crushing blow to peace and security in Southern Sudan’s restive States of Jonglei and Upper Nile, the Southern Sudan’s army the SPLA has accused a former gubernatorial candidate, Mr. George Athor Deng of ordering a deadly assault on SPLA Military Barracks at Doleib Hill 12 kilometres southwest of Malakal in the Upper Nile State according to BBC and Reuters. Mr. Deng is a former SPLA General who quit his army post as stipulated by the Electoral Act of Sudan, 2009 to contest as an independent candidate for the governorship of Jonglei State. He was comprehensively defeated by Kuol Manyang who was nominated by SPLM Electoral College.

In another unrelated development, there are reports reaching NSV that a group alleged to be armed Nuer cattle rustlers from Mayom County launched a deadly attack on Twic West in Warrap State Yesterday. It is being reported that many of the Cattle Rustlers were killed and 5 people were confirmed dead from Twic West. The attack affected much of the area occupied by Akuar, Kuac Madut-Ring and Twic Amiol.

NSV sources say that, the Twic, in order to avoid their cattle being taken by what are believed to be Nuer raiders killed their cattle and then pursued the raiders and managed to kill many of them. Stay tune as NSV brings you more updates.

THAT IS A CHEAP PROPAGANDA!!!! WHO ARE THE SOURCES THAT REPORTED THE ATTACKS?

    THE REPORT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
