Chad prevents JEM leader from entering into Ndjamena orders him to leave

May 19, 2010 (LONDON) — Chadian authorities have refused to allow Khalil Ibrahim leader of the rebel Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) to enter into Ndjamena and confiscated his passport.

Khalil_Ibrahim.jpgKhalil was left Egypt yesterday to Libya from where he flow on regular flight into Ndjamena but when he arrived in the Chadian capital the authorities confiscated his passport and ordered him to return to Tripoli, Ahmed Hussein Adam JEM spokesperson told Sudan Tribune.

“They even refused him to leave the plane but the crew said they can’t take him back to Tripoli unless he has valid travel documents,” he added.

He regretted a conspiracy against the cause of Darfur people and urged the Chadian President, AU-UN Chief Mediator and Qatari officials to secure his save return to JEM positions in Darfur.

Diplomatic efforts are engaged by different parties to find out a solution to this unprecedented situation.

JEM has suspended its participation in Doha peace talks accusing Sudanese army of breaching a truce concluded last February.

The Sudanese army announced last week the capture of Jebel Moon, a rebel stronghold area adding that 108 rebels were killed during the fighting. Also bloody clashes occurred between the two belligerents in North and South Darfur. These developments are seen as serious threat to the peace process in Doha.

Chad cannot wait forever for Darfurian Unity.
The people of Darfur have ultimately failed to heed the lessons of South Sudan; unity is the only way to victory.
We Chadians have stoically born the burden of this genocide for far too long all the while pressing the Darfuri rebels to unite.
Wars are not eternal and each day brings this war closer to its resolution, regardless of the outcome.
We cannot keep trumping you up forever, if you will not make peace (UNITE) between yourselves (slm, jem, ljm) than we will impose a ‘peace’ with Khartoum and return to interest-based pre-war relations.

    War is not eternal.

President Idriss Deby of Zaghawa betrayed Dr.Khalid Ibrahim…
    Who is to defend Zaghawa?
Kanem is defeated by Jali kingdom of 2010.
    Definition:
Jari/ a cousin tribe of Beja/Eritrea/Ethiop East African tribes who dwelt between White and Blue Nile Basin.
They are distinguished from Nubians, by look, they looks more like from Ethiop/Beja admixtured Arab spoken tribe than Nubians itself.

By the way, Deby can betrat Tama and Midob as well as he did with his own!
