Ethiopian premier receives message from Sudanese President

May 21, 2010 (ADDIS ABABA) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi received a message sent from Sudanese president Omer Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir.

Sudanese International Cooperation Minister El-Tigani Salih Fedail delivered the message on Thursday.

Both sides hold talks on the level of existing bilateral ties between the countries.

Following the discussion, the Sudanese minister told reporters that he had a fruitfull discussion with Prime Minister Meles on ways how to further boost the bilateral ties and cooperation between the two sisterly countries.

He added that the two countries have a close cooperation in many areas.

According to the visiting Sudanese official they also deliberated on ways of bolstering their relations in the economic front.

Ethiopia and Sudan share multifaceted relations ranging from political, diplomacy and security to social, economic and infrastructure development.
