Kiir lauds armed forces for maintenance of peace??

By Ngor Arol Garang

May 30, 2010 (TURALEI) — Salva Kiir Mayardit, the First Vice President of the Republic of Sudan , who by the virtue of being president of South Sudan becomes commander in chief of the Southern Armed Forces, has lauded the defense and military personals for maintaining peace in the whole country in a meeting at the national capital of Khartoum today.

While addressing the top high ranking military personals of joint integrated units in a meeting, he cautioned the armed forces to remain focused and committed in maintaining the country’s peace. He said although peace is valuable, it can only be achieved at a financial cost and it also includes the loss of life.

“Peace and security must not be taken for granted, as the consequences can be disastrous,” said Kiir asking concerned bodies to pass his sincere message to various divisions of men and women in uniforms and other players in the field of security.

He added that as a member of the Armed Forces, his government remains committed and wishes the Armed Forces continued participation in monitoring and keeping peace in the region.

He said it is not enough to only keep the peace but pointed out that most of us associate keeping and monitoring with the military, but there are several other organizations that are active in the field such as governments, international organizations among others and all these deserve praise for their effort and sacrifice.

“Keeping and monitoring is not only about having a gun but having other techniques to preserve it through reconciliations and holding peace conferences to settle disputes between individuals and community members at any level of governance,” he said.

Reiterating his call for reconciliations among political figures, he said peace is important and if peace is taken for granted, it has the potential to bring misery.

He concluded by adding that “God realizes how important peace is to mankind, hence the need for politicians to love and embrace one another; peace can be disturbed either through natural calamities or by individuals who engage in activities which leads to the breach of peace.”

Hey good step mr Preisdent Kiir,It is good to let them know that you are every where in Sudan,if they rebelled from southern Sudan to north Sudan, they ‘ll still fine you there by any mean militarily or domcritice,Also it is very important to addressed the top high ranking military to remind them about the laws because they are the cause of the problem in Sudan in general therefore there must be displine to those diseaters by you or laws ,those general like Athor who breahes the rules must be put in jail to faces the consquences of killing innconts people and alos look to the problem why Sudan goverment leaders put their feets in killing of Southern Sudan people,Is it because they need sudan to be unity or separation?if it s the case why do they invited the war to unity, indeed that planed for Bashir is unfair.I real encouraged you Mr president Kiir ,Don,t listening to thoes killers Croaking of frogs should not stop the bulls from drinking water,I hope that No body will stop you to do your things in Southern Sudan.and God bless you and the SPLM/A

Since 1996 i had never heard C.I.C. Cdr; Kiir Mayar Deet, talking like this, the way reflecting his personality and leadership. The time is crucial for whoever consider himselves a Sudanese,to stand firm and deliver the people of Sudan’s ampitions.

I do believe that, his exellency has studied his SPLM/A Cadres and found out their incopitancy to tackle any national issues or whatsoever. As a prisoner of SPLA, during the the collapse of Mangestu Haile mariam, and now as the history repeat itself, being a nationalist and a unionist,is what he has to reckon .Many years passed and i feel his humilation as a heir of Dr; John Garang’s mission in SUDAN.

Mr; Kiir ,i still can’t call a president, but i wish that you will remember the dilema of your incarceration in Ethiopa,it’s no different from what you are encountering right now.I urge you to be just a Monyj-Jeng and follow what you promised us in Pilpam june 1995,not SouthSudan is waiting for our sacrifices but the Sudan.
