The Association of IDPs and Refugees of Darfur, a pro-rebel Sudan Liberation Movement of Abdel Wahid Al-Nur (SLM-AW) led by the influential Sheikh Abdallah Tahir, Saturday said in a statement to Sudan Tribune that they would not take part in the Doha peace talks before the disarmament of the pro-government militias.

The spokesperson of IDPs body, Hussein Abu Sharti further said the issue of justice is also crucial for a lasting peace in Darfur. “Responsible of Darfur crimes should be held accountable before peace,” he added.

The Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM) led by the former governor of Darfur province, El-Tijani El-Sissi resumed direct peace negotiations with the Sudanese government this week. The rebel Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) suspended its participation in the negotiations.

The SLM-AW refuses to be part of the peace talks. The rebel group demands the government before to join the talks to disarm militias and to return IDPs to their homeland.

The IDPs accused LJM of working in connivance with the government to undermine the demand for security “El-Sissi is behind this scheme. “El-Tijani El-Sissi is behind the idea to bring the IDPs representatives this month in Doha” to participate as observers in the discussions related to their rights.

Abu Sharati also LJM is not representative of Darfur people “but the government”.

Sudanese government and El-Sissi’s rebel group said in a framework agreement signed last March, that issues related to the compensation and return of refugees and IDPs would include the representatives of the later who will participate in its meetings as observers.

Darfur IDPs will not participate in peace talks before security improvement
The IDPs who are confined in their camps like very grave crime prisonners will not stand with West African guy Tigani Sessy whose objectives are to please his masters in Khartoum.

Where is the peace they are talking about? The Janjaweeds are still killing people. Yesterday about three people were killed by the Janjaweeds and Sudan governemnt forces in North Darfur. Also the governemnt of Sudan has prevented the NGOs to distribute food to the IDPs, which mean since its not able to finish them by using bullets; then let them die from hungers. Sessy has no one who is been dispalced, therefore he can walk on the blood of the innocent people to please his masters in Khartoum.

Thumb up to you Mr. representative of IDPs and refugees, you are absolutely right justice and complete disarmament of the Janjaweed must proceed any peace attempts because, until writing this comment the regime has signed seven documents to disarm the janjaweed but in vain. Furthermore, the cause belongs to you and not to crazy compromisers of Doha and sell outs, in order to make political gamble with. I’m sure Al-Tigani sessei will hang is agreement on his nake but he will not put it on the sacred soil of Darfur
