Lakes state governor announces new cabinet

June 23, 2010 (RUMBEK) — Lakes state governor Chol Tong Mayay has
announced his cabinet of fourteen (14) ministers, six (6) advisors and his deputy.
Governor Mayay on Tuesday appointed his running mate Daniel Ayual Makoi as his deputy and minister of Education, Science and Technology. The new cabinet of comprised of three two females and another female holding advisory position.
National Congress Party (NCP) and other Southern Sudanese political
parties are present in cabinet but their names are vacant.
Most of the ministerial positions are being dominated by four counties of Rumbek Central, Greater Yirol, Rumbek East as well as Wulu.
Mayay also appointed his campaign manager, Pur Cienggan Dakbai, as
minister of Finance, Trade and Industry. The three newly created ministries include Legal Affairs, Labour and Public service and Animal Resources as well one advisory position for Gender and Human Right.
