Unity state authorities regulate mobile phone airtime prices

August 17, 2010 (BENTIU) — Unity state’s Minister of Information and Communication, Gideon Gatpan, has warned black marketers not to unreasonably increase the prices of mobile phone airtimes in the state.
He directed the mobile operators and electronic dealers in Unity state to maintain the prices of the scratch card as per the price tag indicated with effect from 13th August 2010. It was discovered scratch card dealers had been introducing unreasonable high prices.
He urged all airtime dealers to identify themselves with individual mobile operators, and each operator shall submit the list of dealers to his Ministry at the office of Directorate of Communication.
Unregulated retailers have decided, for instance, to increase a 5 Sudanese pounds scratch card despite that they buy it at a discounted price from dealers.

Thank you very much for stopping this unreasonable charging of airtime by dealers who are mostly from the northern Sudan, claiming the distance they travel to bring these airtimes is too far and long. I am soon writing about this unsurplus dealings in our southern soil by our enemies. I wrote in 2008 October about GEMTEL network. They are now the best. So there is need to criticize and pinpoint these other networks beginning with ZAIN, MTN, VIVACELL etc!!
Economic draining has no colours. We southerners should be watchful. These arabs in our towns in disgusts as traders are security apparatus of NCP deployed in the south to monitor our daily activities, secretly plan a sinister against our inspirations for our match to PROMISED LAND in January 2011.
Look at what they are doing in our towns. They are having affairs with our girls and ladies when their gals and ladies are untouchable in Khartoum and other northern parts. They kill their gals if found to have an affair with a southerner, darfur, or non-muslim as they would want everyone to be arabized and islamized. Something that no southerner will swallow in the south of Sudan. One of the causes for war for 23 years in the south!
They have gone beyond human line to have homosexual intercourse with our little boys in the market. They entice them with food, good sleeping space (because they don’t have homes their families have been killed by these same Arabs)and at night, they fuck them at will, even if the boy(s) wails!! Oh! God this is inhuman and Arabs should be sent out of South Sudan as quick as possible!!!
All food commodities across South Sudan taxes have been lifted and prices never decrease, from these arabs.
They beat our boys in the name of being thieves stealing from them, and no one cares about their welfare, and in actual sense, these kids are orphans of our liberation struggle. Their fathers and mothers have laid down their precious lives for our freedom, that we are enjoying today partially, because NCP is making a lot of subotage here and there.
Why!??? economic draining and free market without control by our authorities in all states of South Sudan.
Wake up our government officials against all these odds. We common people are suffering without your watch and knowledge. Where are you all!!!????
Unity state Minister should be followed in his way of doing things.
