Sudan’s NCP accuse SPLM of working for secession

August 19, 2010 (KHARTOUM) — The ruling National Congress Party (NCP) in Sudan today lashed out at its junior partner in the Government of National Unity (GoNU) over a meeting held today with president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir that was boycotted by most heavyweight opposition parties.

Nafie1-3.jpgThe meeting called for Bashir already rescheduled from last month, was to discuss the upcoming referendum in South Sudan and ways to encourage Southerners to vote for unity which according to most analysts is a highly unlikely scenario.

The major opposition parties invited to the meeting including the Umma Party, Popular Congress party (PCP) and Sudanese Communist Party (SCP) did not attend. The Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM), the dominant party in the South, also rejected Bashir’s invitation suggesting it would achieve nothing particularly if it did not tackle issues like the Darfur crisis, deteriorating economic conditions of the people, democratic transformation and political freedoms.

The NCP’s deputy leader Nafie Ali Nafie speaking to reporters chided the SPLM saying “they are not supportive of Sudan’s unity and want to go around the country’s issues”.

“[The SPLM] do not want to put themselves in a corner by discussing the issue and conducting the referendum in a free and fair manner, especially after the [April] elections in the south, which was marred by much scepticism,” Nafie said.

He also warned that any attempt by the SPLM to declare independence unilaterally would amount to “political suicide”.

“No one can declare the secession of the South from within its parliament” Nafie said before affirming the NCP’s commitment to holding the referendum as planned.

Currently the referendum preparation process is lagging well behind the timeline stipulated by the CPA primarily because of the delay in adopting the referendum law and the formation of the commission primarily because of disagreements between the NCP and the SPLM.

The referendum panel has yet to pick its secretary general because of SPLM objections over whether it should be a figure from the North or the South. Furthermore, the commission does not have headquarters or regulations in place to begin functioning leading its chief Mohamed Ibrahim Khalil to suggest that the January 9, 2011 date for the key vote would not be attainable.

The NCP official stressed that his party will not compromise on the issue of Islamic Sharia’a being the governing law of the North adding that it will not accept a secular state.

Well since the NCP has fail to make unity attractive the SPLM has to make their own choice.
The NCP should have get rid of shariah law if they were serious in unity.
No return to slavery we have made our choice and there is no going backward.

    From Okucu Pa Lotinokwan
    To Nafie Ali Nafie.

Nafie, your are really a mad man,why are you deceiving those reporters,by telling them that, if the SPLM declared the Independent for south in their Parliment there will be political suicide. You means there will be war again?or what?
Nafie be informed that southerners loss their people about 2.5 Million for a period of 21 years, but northeners are going to loss over 4 million in one month time if people go back for war again.Let us implement the CPA peacefully force can not help nowdays, since you said sharia will remain for the northerners it is fine, but for sure Sudan will be divided whether by crook or crooked. The time for unity with northerners is over.

    Dear Readers,

NCP has a great sinister plans and intentions about our destiny. If Nafi (Manafi talks as he can be seen on media) what about his (their plans) at night in their quarters!!!??????

We must be very VIGILANT and concern for any statements from NCP figures!!!! They aren’t just talking, but they are / have also planned for Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)in all forms! Look at the 2009 weapons from China, first of its kind in the soil of Africa and world. Think; who do NCP / Sudan Army Forces would want to shield with this artiliary???!!!!

God has everything. How many of these weapsons kind that NCP has had used in Southern soil during 22 / 50 years of protracted wars, however God was there to protect us.

Nafi says, UDI by South Sudan Parliament is “political suicide”. Who tells Nafi that Sudan is still one. Nafi is day dreaming. Hahahaha. Where on earth that a territory you claim control has an independent Army, Flag, Constitution, Boundary, Identity, Cultures, language of instruction (English in the South & Arabic in the North) and total autonomy of official travels, business links. CPA has granted South Sudan this rare right to decide their Destiny.

International Community and world leaders who were witnesses to CPA bear greater responsibility if there would break out again any other war between the two territories; North and South Sudan and world powers must be held accountable to millions of lives lost in the South, which has always been underestimated as 2.5 millions in 22years of SPLM/A and other 2 million of Anyanya 1 & 2 of 17 years! USA as the leading world power must be on toe to prevent another war in Sudan at all cost!!

South Sudan is African and North Sudan is Arab. Go Middle East and let us to East Africa; period!! Do you hear me!!???

Whether NCP likes it or not, we are gone. SPLA Oyeee! SPLM Oyeee!! South Sudan independence Oyeee!

Those composing National Anthem, please hurry up, time isn’t on our side.

    Dear Sudanese!

According to Dr. John Garang’s vision, Sudan was to be calclus into many regions. Since the signing of Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) five years ago. He said ”this agreement belong to every Sudanese to have peace and to develop their regions”.

Southen Sudan was war-torn region, it is good to decide what is best for them. What do Arabs expect from Southern Sudanes when to do if the procastinate to implement what people agreed upon.

Whether SPLM accusation are true or not, their truck know the direction is drive to. South Sudan is now ready for seccession. Always sleep with dreaming knowing that Southern Sudan is no longer part of Sudan full of Arabism and Islamism

    Oyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Referendum
    Oyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Southerners

Haaaahaaaaaahaaaaaaaa, I think Arab are stupid of not mad! how came Mr. Nafi contradicted himself by saying they will not compromise on sharia Law while saying they support the unity, how will these two think go together? the War was mainly because of Sharia law and if there is going to be the unity than there must be a separation between the state and the religion.

Now if some is telling u that belief in my God or worship my religion, then what is that person want to do? is not a colonialism? or colonization?

Enough is enough we need to have the state of our own let Arab govern themselves with what ever laws they want and leave us alone we are not the same neither we have any thing in common.

Long live the Independence of South Sudan and long live the people of the South

SPLA has serious corruption wish if not lawfully controlled they may create terrible problem as well as chopping money and hang on leadership of South Sudan are their term. In fact no wonder that Mr. Sudan hate Dinka Twic Movement known as SPLA and I am sure he won’t vote for that SPLA side. Although Mr. Sudan understand that his condition which set him to different world won’t allow him to do so but he believe in president of Sudan is rightious man in whom he hope may give him a chance if not controlled by the driver and this first option is under way to be tried out and if not working second option is to continue traveling around the world as some way to keep life going. If one understand this message you may know what to do.
    Have Good day!
