Commissioner of Unity state’s Payinjiar County’s first visit to Ganyliel Payam

September 10, 2010 (BENTIU) – The newly appointed Commissioner of Payinjiar County in Unity state arrived in Ganyliel Payam on Thursday and was received by thousands of citizens in the county.
Arriving at the Payam’s headquarters after walking on the muddy road for a distance of 5 hours on foot from Payinjiar to Ganyliel Payam, As a traditional exercise, he jumped over the slanted bull as sign of welcoming home and leave behind the evils, and was also accompanied by showers that mugged up with the people hence forget the tiredness and joined the dance.
In his brief speech, Colonel Peter Gai Jaok urged all the people of Payinjiar and all the Payam level to unite them for the fourth coming referendum in January the 9th, 2011. Jok said “We must all vote for the succession of the south and that is our final goal”
The public released that with the upcoming new born nation of Southern Sudan better fruits will be harvested. Jok told Sudan Tribune that his first priority is to maintain peaceful co-existence between the bordering counties with Lake state.
Jok said, this time, more attention should be focused on development rather than propagated politics, also urging the traditional chiefs in the county to take lead in maintaining security and stabilities in the county, payam as well as Bomas level.
Jok said peace must start from our home before it is spread to our neighbors’ homes, let us be messengers of peace and unite for the betterment of the nation, adding that before developing the county, we must first develop the human mind by educating the persons.
