Roger Mwema, the KCB branch manager told Sudan Tribune that the equipment worth nearly SDG 3,000 ($1,250) came from revenue made at the lcoal branch. Caring for the community is one of big values of the Kenyan Commercial Bank in the Sudan, he said.

The bank has also supported two other primary schools in Rumbek Central county alone in this year and is planning to provide scholarships to student Mwema said.

The donations were made in line with the KCB Cooperate Social Responsibility in caring for the community and especially promoting education.

The Manager also called on the residents of Lakes State to open accounts with the bank for the security of their money and make use of the services the bank is offering which includes, ATM services, money transfers, loans and overdrafts.

KCB has 13 branches operating in South Sudan, including Rumbek, Yei, Yambio, Bor, Torit, Nimule, Bentiu and six in the region’s capital Juba.

Huge thanks goes to members of Rumbek based Kenyan Commercial Bank for their kind and humble assistance to students of Rumbek Primary schools.Offering educational equipments in form of books, pencils etc, rather than giving them fund is indded equal to proverb that says “teach people how to produce instead of offering them ready products”. May God make Kenyan Commercial Bank prosper more and profitable to continue render its philanthrophical output to people in needs like the students of Rumbek Schools.
