Chadian leader Deby sends Kadhafi message on region
TRIPOLI, Libya, May 11, 2004 (PANA) — Libyan revolution leader Colonel Moammar Kadhafi Tuesday in Tripoli received Chadian premier Mahamat Moussa Feki who handed him a message from President Idriss Deby on the situation in the region and its consequences, Libyan official sources have said.
According to the Libyan news agency, JANA, Deby in the message appealed to the Libyan leader to exert more efforts to strengthen stability in the region as part of his “pioneering role supporting stability and peace in the Community of Sahelian States (CEN-SAD) in particular and in Africa in general.
The audience took place in the presence of Abderrahman Chalgham, secretary of the general popular committee on External Affairs and International Co-operation, and African Union deputy secretary, Saïd Hefyana, as well as the delegation accompanying Mahamat Moussa Feki, who arrived in the Libyan capital Monday.
