Southern government hands over vehicles to referendum bureau

November 3, 2010 (JUBA) – The Government of Southern Sudan on Wednesday delivered a referendum aid package that included 90 vehicles to Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau (SSRB), ahead of the region’s self determination referendum in January.
Machar told the press that “the aid delivery was a routine part of GOSS obligation to the Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau.”
The Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) was established in 2005 following a peace deal with the former rebels the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement and the National Congress Party who dominate the Khartoum government.
Last week the head of the Southern Sudan Referendum Commission said that conducting the referendum process during the remaining short period would be a complete miracle.
South Sudan’s poor roads and infrastructure, as well as flooding and insecurity in some areas have made the logistics for the vote difficult.
Wednesday’s delivery included 110 transport vehicles for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 60 Lorries.
“I believe [our] SSRB will be able to use these trucks for the interest of referendum, success,” South Sudan’s Vice President said at the handover.
Between eight and ten accidents are recorded daily in Juba, the capital of Southern Sudan. Pedestrians are often seriously injured by accidents when walking by the side of the road.
In a series of TV, Radio and print interviews in Juba, Makana has expressed his complete support for the road safety.
The south is widely expected to vote for independence in the referendum, due to begin January 9, 2011.

After independence of south sudan,
the first priority of the GoSS should be roads, otherwise any new vehicle the GOSS buys will last only 2 years and breaks down due to rough roads they are driven on and this will be a waste of money.

Dear Excogitative Southerners,
I appreciate all of you for your commitment to bring peace to the people of Southern Sudan which impacts the globe positively.This is the way a nation is built.A nation is built by bringing all the citizens together to serve their nation which benefit them at the same time.Southern Sudan was an anarchy state but now has a system in place (GOSS).Our excogitative leaders are heading to the right direction (Independence).
We are not forced again to believe in the following:
1.Dinar which was introduced by all the arabs to Islamised the whole Sudan and put it into the Arab world map.
2.Sharia Law which was introduced as set of rules to control power and put Sudan on their side without questioning.
3.National Islamic Front which brought together all the arabs both from within and outside Sudan to kill the people of Southern Sudan.
4.Among others.
For all these reasons,Separation has been made attractive by the northern Sudanese because they have been mistreating Southerners for Centuries.
They have been our masters for long time and this is the time to say “No! No! No
!No ! to be a slave”We are not servants to you any more! We all say BYE ! bYE !MASTERS.
