Eastern Equatoria: 37 NCP members defect to SPLM

January 2, 2011 (TORIT) – A total of 37 members from the National Congress Party (NCP) in Eastern Equatoria State on Friday defected to the south-ruling party Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), alleging that the Khartoum-based party has “no vision” for southerners.

Abdullah Keri Wani, the former NCP spokesperson for the state described Sudan’s ruling party as a “failed” political party with no mandate to serve the interest of the people of Southern Sudan.

He cited intrigue, lack of clear vision and absence of political will as some of the major challenges facing the party’s wing in Eastern Equatoria. The party’s office in the state has also been closed.

While receiving the defectors, Louis Lobong Lojore, the SPLM state chairperson hailed the decision, saying such a move came at the right moment as southerners prepare for a self determination referendum in the semi-autonomous region.

Lojore, who is also the Eastern Equatoria State Governor, however, urged the former NCP members to join the SPLM’s ongoing initiative of sensitizing and mobilizing state citizens ahead of the referendum due in January 9.

The referendum is a key perquisite of Sudan’s 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), which brought to an end over two decades of a bloody civil war fought between the Christian dominated south and the north, which is governed by Islamic Shari’a Law.

The implementation of Shari’a Law in 1983 was one of the triggers of the second north-south civil war. Other causes include the south’s oil wealth, use of Nile water, identity, political representation and economic marginalization.

According to the UN two million people died in the conflict, mainly from disease, and four million were forced to flee their homes to other areas of Sudan and neighboring countries.

Most observers say that the south will chose to separate from the north and form a new country.

    Welcome back home lostmen,
And my advise to you is that do not spy or do conspiracy to our government,we need you strip out all NCP wicked policies and join our party/SPLM. And we still going to supervise and monitor your movement and work for six months in order to be trusted in our community.

Eastern Equatoria: 37 NCP members defect to SPLM
That is a great and wise move my dear fellow Southeners.
I am delighted and very happy that most of the sons and dauthers of South Sudan have realized to Unite under one shadow.

The Bible says in St John’Gospel chapter 3:16 that God so loved the world so much that He sends His only son,so that whoever believes in him may not die but have eternal life.
God did not sended for us his many sons, but SON, ONLY ONE SON!!!.

So my dear people of God,our political situations in Sudan may sound so complecated for those who are not believing in Jesus Christ.
Many political parties could be there as opositions to the ruling party,I don’t have problem with this.

But to be very frunk,at this crucial time,I would suggest that all the southern Sudanese different parties could first unite under one major party of course the SPLM!!!
So that we could first cross the RED-SEA and Jordan river to the promise land with one leader of course Silva-Kirr as our present Joshua.

After crossing there, then you can reverse to your different political opositions parties while you have made the history.

For those states which still have the NCP offices in the South, please this is a warsting of time please close all this offices down and join your brothers and sisters for one goal.

Some of you will misunderstood me and says Iam interfearing into polital discussion as pastor, but before you think about this let me tell you that, the same people whom I am preaching to,is the same people who are in the government.

Remember in the bible the man of God Daniel,Joseph, all the Kings,Cornolius, the Jurges and many others:They were all politicians.
We can’t keep quite in the church while the peole of God are politicaly suffering.

Remember to be united, with one hope of course to vote for SELF-DETERMINATION!!!
