Al-Bashir raps South Sudan over Darfur rebels ahead of his visit to Juba

December 3, 2010 (KHARTOUM-NAIROBI) – Sudan President Omer Al-Bashir on Monday admonished south Sudan for giving sanctuary to Darfur rebels, one day before his visit to the south’s capital Juba as the semi-autonomous region stands poised to gain full independence in a vote set to take place on Sunday.

Sudanese_President-3.jpgAl-Bashir is expected to land in Juba on Tuesday in order to deliver a public speech and hold talks with south Sudan President Salva Kiir. Al-Bashir visit comes as nearly four million Southern Sudanese are expected to turn up on Sunday to vote for secession from the north.

The plebiscite is a key plank of the 2005’s peace deal that ended nearly half a century of intermittent civil war between the north and the south.

While addressing celebrations of a drill staged by Sudan Air Forces in Al-Aruus area in Port Sudan on Monday, Al-Bashir reminded south Sudan government that Darfur region was still part of Sudan and its rebels were considered “outlaws.”

Darfur is a region of western Sudan where an eight-year conflict between rebels belonging mostly to African ethnicities and the central government in Khartoum claimed the lives of 300,000 people and displaced more than 2 million, according to UN figures.

Al-Bashir said that Darfur region was experiencing “peace and stability” after it had been “cleaned and secured” from rebel forces. But the Sudanese president took the opportunity to send a message to south Sudan and Darfur rebels there.

“We tell our brothers in the south that they [Darfur rebels] are outlawed fighters and we are in a state with the same law, and the dealing with them is the same dealing with outlaws. If they wanted peace, they are welcome, and if they refuse, they will regret,” Al-Bashir warned.

South Sudan is currently housing Mani Arkoi Minawi, who is the only Darfur rebel leader to sign a peace accord with the Sudanese government in Abuja in 2006. But Minawi later defected from the government and accused Khartoum of stalling the peace agreement.

The Sudanese government is currently engaged in peace talks in the Qatari capital Doha with the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM), an alliance of minor Darfur rebel factions.

The LJM on Monday announced it had finalized peace negotiations with the government and was now ready to sign a peace agreement.

But the talks have so far failed to fully engage the two main rebel groups, the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and the Sudan Liberation Movement of Abdul Wahid Nur.

The drills in eastern Sudan saw the successful testing of a Sudanese unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, hailing the occasion, Al-Bashir said the peace that is “not protected by arms is fragile and prone to loss.”

Sudan spends heavily on defense and military. Official records show that in 2009-2010, Sudan’s total expenditure on defense, policing and military stood at 5.770.002.332 (over 2 billion US dollars).

    Mr. President;
For how long will you accept the position of the Government of South Sudan that it is not hosting Darfur rebels. The Government of South Sudan had cleared itself serveral times from your accussation. There are no Darfur rebels in South Sudan. There is no point of repeating accussation when the GOSS had cleared itself in the media and the Public at large.

In this reports, Darfurian are described as Black Africans who suffered immensely like Southern Sudanese from your evils hands. You know very well that Sudan is one of the African States which you grasped by force. Even God knows very well that you are not the right inhabitants of Sudan.

For years you were mistreating the blacks the owners of the land. You turn the blacks to fight the blacks. You used their resources to buy weapons to kill them.

Now the South Sudan is going to gain its Independant and your Islamist wanted a Share in the National Government which you rejected. Yes, you may be right and i support you on that however, i dvice you to give those seats or positions of the SPLM that will be left vacant to Darfurian for an Interim Period before they conduct similar referendum calling for Self-Determination like the Southern Sudanese.

The time to freed slaved has come and there is no need for your Tyrany government to cntinue with outdated trade.

These heavily expenditures of 5,770,002.332 Billion USD on defense and military should stop. These expenditures you meant for destructions of the blacks are what the ICC want you to appear in person. It could have been good to spend this huge amount of billions for building wonderful Infrastructures both (Physical, Political, social and Economical) throughout the entire Sudan.

Stop threatening your people. Let all rights prevail according to the Constitution of Sudan which you breached.

Think and think again and get yourself a mirror a doulbe one. Your reporters or Journalists should play for you your video so that you see, judge and Act against your behaviours.

    Thanks
    Your Foe.

Jonobean .. be carefull .. we just warned you in a nice way!

Yes Al bashir has warned you in a nice way during our airplanes fighters Mig 29 and Sukhoi fly hight in the sky! it is not just coincidence but Al Bashir meant it at this time at this moment and it is up to you if you want to become a good neighbor or bad neighbor!

Remember, it is not going to be like before hit and run and hide in the jungle but now you have state which needs security, development, education, health, etc, so it is your decision whether you want to be a fail state by annoying us or good state by cooperating with us!

Just tell me, why do you host Mr. Mani Arkoy Manawi despite he launched a war against his innocent people??!! he is a terriorist and you should hand him over to us immediately!

Would you like us to host Mr Athor and support him and have him stops the development and kills his own people in south??!! You don’t like that to happen I believe, no problem just listen to our advice and you will be fine!

We will continue to receive cheap oil from the south after separation because all the oil infrastructures, pipelines and oil refines exist in the north and till you establish your new pipline through Kenya or what so ever (we don’t care) we will be able to use our huge oil that we just discovered in the north and as Dr Lual Deng said before, block 6 in west Kordofan can produce a million barrel per day!!! remember, the land descends from south to north and your oil will be zapped and gone by 2017 because the nature will bring it to us wihout any fighting!

Jalaby? do know how many airplanes SPLA shot down during the 21 year war? If you do not know, why not ask your brothers in the Northern army if they sill men enough to tell you the truth? You Arabs are very good in a talk show but when people come to reality, your proven otherwise.

I hope you are all aware of the double-speak of Mohammed Ali, Jalaby, Original Sudanese etc. They love to assail southerners with “we are brothers/black/whatever” and pretend they don’t care about south Sudan separationg – “we will still be brothers, yada yada” but there are threats behind these words.
What they have said to me is interesting. One said Islam is coming to Australia, just you wait, it is what God wants, blah blah. And the words had a sinister undertone. You can be sure they are determined to Islamise the south. And they are trying to win you with this black brotherhood stuff, and using their hatred of white people to draw you to their side, to make you think you should be united against white people.
Well, no. What we want is freedom from the rule of Islam, whether we are black, white or any colour at all.
The north did not “give” you peace in any way. The south fought for peace, and peace always has to be fought for. If the south did not fight then south Sudan would be Islamic by now with people like these three taking a different tune: instead of being black like you they will suddenly decide that they are something else and have the right to rule you, whether you convert to their horrible religion of lies or not.
What happened in Alexandria was so dreadful; Muslims trampling the bodies of the dead while shouting “Allahu Akbar”. This will be the fate of all of us if we believe their lies – because why did they manage to take over Egypt anyway? By lying, by saying they were peaceful. Look at Egypt now! My God!

Them politicians from North Sudan always speak about brother hood with the South. Always brotherhood, why would you use a nuclear weapon against your brother, for the whole world to know, it is true that the North military used nuclear weapons against the South during the 21 years of war. You can ask any general from the SPLA/M and they’ll tell you about it. Plus, you killed 2.5 million of innocent people, plus raping of our women and young girls, selling us as slave, treating us as slaves in our own country. Now some fools in this place seem to know some history about this big African country Sudan, but they forget that they aren’t even qualified to be called sudanese people such as Mohammad Ali and whoever agrees with him. Theirs something in the history called “dukool Arab ela Sudan” that clearly says the enterance of the Arabs to Sudan. It does not say they were in Sudan but they came to Sudan as traders.

Nothing can ever tie us as brothers, more than 55 years we were under oppression, we lost many many people, those who stood against slavery, those who seek freedom and same rights of them from the north, all of them were killed. And even if you ask an Arab if they are southerners they’d say big NO. I must say we southerners we are humble people and we learned our lessons during the 55 yrs of discrimination.”

My fellow southerners wake up and always be alert the dogs from north never sleep, they managed to islamis some of our brothers but they did not have a choice they were forced tO follow such religion unlike Christianity it’s not about force but it’s about your free will, you can say yes or no and nobody will bother you. But with Islam you’ll die.
So I hope they all come to their conntiousness and choose what’s truly right for themselves.

You all will fear us as you fear Israel. Because we know Arabs Just like our brothers israeliest.

It may have not been a complete nuclear weapon mate, because it did burn a massive area, and many animals were killed with no clear wounds on them, plus a river was also affected many fish died and alligators found flouting on the river in a big number. Am sure human also died.

What would you call that, and ofcuz Sudan got no nuclear weapons any more. They tried to build them but they were fucked by an American missile.

My friend, you and your government are a failure as your brothers in the middle east are. Next time you try to use such a weapon make sure you know your target and know how to use it. I guarantee you that South will have it’s nuclear weapon soon. And then all of you Arabs will shut your asses.

Our brothers in Darfur need to unify their files and ranks in order to have a good mandate form Darfurians.
The NCP needs to negotiate peace settlement in a good faith. Comprehensive peace agreement needs to be reached in Darfur. Khartoum government should learn from the previous war in Southern front. Omar should know that the ICC case has linkage in Darfur issues.

Accusing the South of harboring Darfur rebels will not bring a concrete solution to the people of Darfur. Be realistic and address the issue Mr President. Do not continue to be bad neighbour to everyone in the region. Just imagine, there has never been a healthy relationship for decades between Sudan and the following neighbouring countries:
Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Congo, Central Africa, Chad, Lybia and Egypt! For your own peolpe sake, don’t add South in this mess!

Hate, will never go overnight mr Mohammed, people are still healing their wounds which was caused by this bad regime you support.

It might take 10-20 yrs for everything to become normal or maybe the next generation will have some sort of relationship but it won’t be strong because of the past man. I hope those in the north may leave their sharia bulshit stop treating is as slaves even this day. I hope you preach that to your people in the north. Cuz my people ain’t ready for that yet. And I don’t blame them.
