Senior NCP official joins SPLM, saying he will vote for separation

By Julius N. Uma

January 10, 2011 (JUBA) – A senior member of the Khartoum-based National Congress Party (NCP) on Monday defected to the south-ruling Sudan’s Peoples Liberation Movement (SPLM) and openly declared he will vote for separation in the ongoing self-determination referendum.

Mading_and_Mayom_10_January_2011_Julius_Uma_.jpgMoses Mading, who formerly served as the Lakes State Governor told an impromptu press conference held at the SPLM southern sector secretariat that his decision, coming just a day after the start of voting, was in the national interests of fellow southerners.

“The NCP is standing for unity of the south, yet the SPLM is for separation. I don’t want to throw my vote to the party that is advocating for the unity which it failed to make attractive,” Mading said.

Flanked by Paul Mayom, the Irrigation and Water Resources minister in the southern government, Mading lauded the SPLM under the stewardship of its President Salva Kiir for championing the course of the southern population.
“The SPLM has for long fought for the right course of the people of Southern Sudan. Now is the time to work together and as people from one part of the country and steer it forward for the future generations,” he said.

Henry Wani Rondyang, the SPLM secretary for training, research and planning thanked the former NCP member for his “wise” decision, urging him to join the struggle for the liberation of the southern Sudanese population, which the party had begun.

The move comes less than a month after over 30 members from the north-ruling party in Eastern Equatoria state also defected to the SPLM, citing a lack of vision as one of the party’s major problems.

Voting is currently underway in southern Sudan’s long-awaited referendum, which remains a key prerequisite of the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA). Signed on 9 January 2005, the accord ended over two decades of a bloody civil war fought between north and south of Africa’s largest country.

Welcome back home, take a stool and spread a mat under a shady tree and enjoy the peace that was brought by the mighty SPLA. Just don’t start bickering for positions later on. We did it without your leadership and we will just manage without it.

Julius N, Uma. Tell Them To

Those Southern Sudanese people who want to follow rulers Northern Sudanese government for nowhere so that, they must know that they will understand every things lastly just like this brother who deny himself not to come out early time and this is, because he had forgotten the reality situations that, our people have been facing all kinds of difficulties in their lives time and we can not afford to continued with Northern Sudanese domination while we have not seen too many innocents lost their lives in their mother land Sudan something that, all Southerners Sudanese are not very happy about it and they don’t want to happen again in the next generations to come.

For those Southern Sudanese who are probably still hoping to get a little money for systematic bribe will not only be a shame for themselves, but they are absolutely self-sabotage in their own land Sudan instead of knowingly the fact that, these Northern Sudanese brothers can not offers anything but the agendas of killing those who welcome them to be in land of Sudan. I was been telling others African tribes in the Sudan for many years that, you guys must think to forms your own government that can listen to your situations instead the government being part of problems in Sudan and I just want to tell them to forgot about unity with Arab African Sudanese in North Sudan, because you can do math here then, you can tell me how many years since the Sudan nation gained her independence in 1956, yet the dominate ruler government in the Sudan spent more times in trying to get rides on none Arab ethnic in Sudan if anyone not learn somethings now then, you are not a human being but if they are then, you guys need to leave Arab African of Sudanese to rules themselves.

I call on others brothers and sisters of these Darfurian, Nubian, Blue Nile and Southern Sudanese to be united togethers, because the unity for African societies mean the people will focusing for their future unlikely the unity by force with our brothers Northern Sudan mean continues war and unstopping killing innocents people on none Arab in the Sudan. But this is the moment that, all none Arab African tribes should be thinking wisely and you don’t have to say, I’m in the North’s Map that is not the good answer if you want to leave free society. Whoever regions mentions should visit Ethiopia when Eastern region and the Western Ethiopia together with Southern Ethiopia says, they will remain and call themselves Ethiopia nation but I don’t know what is wrong if Western Darfuri, Nubia Mt, Blue Nile and Southern Sudan forms themselves to be known as New Sudan nation.?

For Moses Mading, you got to belief yourdelf now that, Southern Sudanese are not like the Old Southern Sudanese generation which you might be having such a skeptically and I think if you didn’t change your mind clearly, it will give you a helplessness on but fortunately, you must thanks your Southerners Sudanese people particular, those who went to Bush to create the Movement call SPLA/SPLM. You need to belief yourself but don’t be brainwatch about unity with Shariah law which is the root cause on why 2.5 million lost their lives very innocently.

According to groups of the Musican known as Akuot Kuei and I quote, the youth of these days of Southern Sudan are become uniquely and knowledgable knowing how to learned write, read, bravers fighters and at the same also, they are all prefectely doing their works which mean they were refers to the SPLA/SPLM Movement if I am not wrong. I think you have a very good human being in Southern Sudan, but I don’t get it why are you keep wasiting your time for all these years.? Paul Mayom Akech can tell you everything base on what he knows, because he stood up with the SPLA/SPLM in long time ago.

You are welcome Mading if you have good intentions for your mother land. Thousands of blessings will pour upon you for your good deeds but the soil will curse you if you intend to come and sell it politically to the arabs.
