Rule of law to drive an independent South Sudan, says legal advisor
By Manyang Mayom
January 1, 2011 (RUMBEK) – The top presidential advisor on Legal Affairs, for the government of Southern Sudan, Molana Telar Ring Deng, must put the interest of southern Sudan first as the region prepares for independence.
Telar said he had appreciated the efforts of Southern Sudanese who participated in January’s referendum process, which resulted in an overwhelming vote for South Sudan secession.
The legal adviser said: “While we are preparing to be a nation, we must always bear in mind [the] national interest above personal interests. Personalising politics, rather than addressing issues of common concerns distracts us from the most urgent and important demands of our people”.
Southern Sudans ruling party, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) has governed the south since a 2005 peace deal with the north.
The Comprehensive Peace Agreement, which ended decades of civil war, gave the south the right to secede through the recently concluded referendum.
Telar said, “the new nation that comes into existence on 9th July, 2011, requires a common purpose and agenda, which is people driven, and respect for the rule of law and constitutionality “.

Advisor Telar Ring Deng, you need to Advise the president about National interest first before Party of personel interest. people of south sudan need a leader which think about stability of future generation not a leader who think about next election. I know you are open minded person, but make sure you do your work fairly.

Dear Southerners,
Telar Riing has encourage us with his excellence advise. The national interest must be the first priority than personal interest. We must be careful with those who think about national interest just like hunting for jobs.
A leader is always judge about his character and his/her characters will promote him/her into national leadership.
I know that we are interesting just for representation but that kind of illusion will take us nowhere.
I don,t care which party could led the South for decades as long that party is going the interest of our country and this was the reason why i really trust SPLM because this party has delivered South Sudanese from very hard hardship.
I am not against other political parties but i doubt about 99% of them because they have been working against the interest of South Sudan for decades and in fact many of these leaders in different political parties have been advisers of Omar Bashier during the war.
Why do they did that if they were really serious about the interest of South Sudan. This argument could simply differentiate national and personal interest.
We need to be strong when hardship arise. I am really behind SPLM the whole of my lives because if the SPLM was not here in the South, then the entire Southerners would still be in Jallaba hut for the rest of live.
Truth must be told dear brothers and sisters.

Lokaku;
Get sense in this case. Prisons does not own lands. Prison facilitates development of land for the benefit of the Community. If you look around all Prison Gardens are occupied by the Community unless you are not a good citizen of the Country who did not travel and visit most of the States. Prison did not most of their claim lands. That area need to be developed, trees planted and many other things done to make the area attractive and community benefit from it. What will be your job in this Country? If you need a land contact me so that i offer you most of the land. I am sure you never participate in the liberation of the South. Your last bullet on the 9th January 2011 aimed at Unity. Please shut up.
