President Bashir officially endorses South Sudan independence

February 7, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – Sudanese President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir officially accepted the final results of Southern Sudan referendum paving the way for the region to become an independent state.

President Al-Bashir on Monday issued a Republican Decree accepting final result of the referendum which supports the separation of the South, after the official promulgation of the results in Khartoum on Monday.

“We declare our acceptance of the southern Sudan people’s choice and we pledge to work for resolving the outstanding issues and build constructive relations between north and south Sudan,” said a decree read by the minister of presidency affairs Bakri Hassan Salih.

The final result was formally submitted on Monday to Sudan President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir by the chairperson of Southern Sudan Referendum Commission (SSRC), Mohamed Ibrahim Khalil, who said that a total of 98.83 percent of voters opted for independence in the weeklong referendum whose commission organized last month.

Khalil also said that no legal challenges had been lodged against the result and that the referendum was conducted in “a fair and transparent” manner.

Upon receipt of the results at the Presidential Palace in Khartoum, president Al-Bashir said he welcomes the choice of south Sudan people.

“We are with the choice of the southern citizen and sustaining peace in the north and the south” Al-Bashir said.

The nation-in-waiting will officially come to being in July 2011 when the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), which ended more than two decades of north-south civil war and granted the referendum, expires.

North and South Sudan are engaged in intermittent talks to thrash out a set of post-referendum issues; including sharing of oil revenues, demarcation of borders and the status of the hotly contested border region of Abyei.

Later on in the afternoon, the council of ministers held a session in Khartoum attended by president Al-Bashir and Sudan’s First Vice-President and President of Southern Sudan government Salva Kiir Mayadrit to announce the results.

Al-Bashir delivered a speech in which he reiterated welcoming of the result and pledged to resolve post-referendum arrangements before the end of the CPA timeline.

“We promised to give the people of the south the right to self-determination…now that they have chosen independence, we will keep our promise,” he said.

“As to post-referendum [arrangements]” Al-Bashir added “we are resolved to reach an agreement on them before the end of the transitional period.”

For his part, South Sudan president Salva Kiir lauded the north’s recognition of the new state, saying it would pave the way for other countries to follow suit.

“If the north does not recognize the south no other state will,” Kiir said.

The Southern Sudan president said that the secession of the south is not the end of the road. “We will not become enemies of each other and will make sure our relationship remains strong,” he further said.

He added that the borders between north and south Sudan would only be “on papers” and there would be no restrictions on movement of trade and citizens.

Kiir said there was a need to expedite the process of resolving post-referendum arrangements before July.

The deputy head of the SSRC and chairman of Southern Sudan Referendum Bureau, Justice Chan Reec Madut, told reporters that the official proclamation of the South Sudan Independence will take place in July with end of the interim period as it is agreed in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

Chan encouraged the two peace partners to resolve outstanding issues and pave the way for joint cooperation between the two countries.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

The announcement was quick to receive acceptance and generate pledges of recognition from a number of countries and international organizations.

U.S president Barack Obama said he was pleased “to announce the intention of the United States to formally recognize Southern Sudan as a sovereign, independent state in July 2011.”

In London, the British prime minister David Cameron welcomed the announcement of the referendum results and the positive reaction of the government in Khartoum. He also pledged that the United Kingdom will continue to support the settlement of the remaining issues.

The European Union’s (EU) representative in Sudan, Carlo de Filippi, said that “the EU looks forward to further developing a close and long term partnership with Southern Sudan which is set to become a new state in July 2011.”

The United Nations Secretary-General’s Panel on the Referenda in the Sudan, which was established at the behest of the CPA’s partners to monitor the referendum, gave the process its seal of approval and welcomed its results.

“The outcome reflects the free will of the people of Southern Sudan and that the process as a whole was free, fair and credible.”

A statement released by the Spokesperson for the U.N Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon welcomed the announcement and hailed the peaceful and credible conduct of the referendum.

The UN chief called on North and South Sudan to expedite an agreement on post-referendum arrangements, including Abyei.

Please read this history about Profit Ngundeng and how did she got here to our world! Please don’t let God get mad with us again. She is not a human beng, she is Satan! How can human being changed to be a Fish, Snake, Cannibal, and Human being? This power is not for human being,it’s Satan power.

God have mercy on your people who usuall for about you worship devils, your a creator of all but Nyajok Ngundeng is Satan family who came out from Nile river.

For those who are still using Ngundeng ideologically, please be inform! Ngundeng had shameful things to be said about him. First,

He was not a Prophet but a profit to his royalist in Nuer.
He had many names according to his activities in many parts of South Sudan.
He was a Cannibal animal according to Nuer man who doesn’t need to be mentioned
His first name was Ngundeng-meaning that he was send by God.
After he gone wild and ran away.
His name changed to be Gatluakmanguel in Nuer dialect.
He ate many Nuer men and women in Nuer Land
Dinka. His name was Manyang e Juet.
He ate many children, animal claviers and cows’s bulls in Dinka Land.
Equatoria with different languages including English and Arabic
    His name was Tiger

The Nuer man who refused to be target by Ngundeng’s salves pointed out that. Ngundeng had no father or mother but the Devil who came out in the River Nile in a form of fish, when the Nuer boys want for fishing. They fish for so many hours and they caught nothing, when the boys get tied and ready to go back home. One of them told other guys that there was a fish ate his hook lastly, the boy convinced other friends to tried one more time! Shortly after he putted on snail body on the hook, he had thrown it into Nile River. Immediately, Ngundeng was caught. The boy was attempting to pull the Fish Ngundeng out in the river but it was difficult for him to do so, then he called his associates to pull Ngundeng on the shore. They brought it out and they were smile some of them were told to go and collect firewood in order for the young men to roast their fish.
Unfortunately! The Fish Ngundeng changed into big snake! And the boys ran away from it, the boys thought that they were dreaming and they came back for the second times. The Snake Ngundeng light it body and become bright as well as electricity light. They ran home and they spread the news to the community, when the Nuer elders came to the place where Ngundeng was pulled. It was still there as snake with it light. People gather together around it and started asking question how did this happen? The Snake Ngundeng changed into human being and told people not to run away. All of them were shocking and scary to death except Human Ngundeng who perform such witchcraft. things “Come down, come down now!” The Human Ngundeng said. Who are you? The Nuer elders asked him. I am Nyajok_ which mean woman devil! The Human Ngundeng answer! She knew her own physical appearance as she is a hermaphrodite. (A person with both the organs of a man and a woman) Wow! Brothers and sisters of Nuer I am sorry for your Profit. Nyajok Ngundeng was not a Prohet? It was your profit to cheat people for his power but It was not a Prophet? It was a Satan?

    Mr President Al-Bashir,

Despite your poor leadership and abuse of power for decades, you will go down to history as the only Northern leader who managed to honour the true will of people of Southern Sudan. As a former citizen of Sudan, I acknowledge this positive part of you. Continue with the same spirit to bring a lasting peace in Darfur region, and then I will be able to back you up against the ICC charges.

Congratulation my people, thats what we have been fighting for, for last 50 years we thanks all our leaders for the good jobs they did for us. As I said now we finish with Jalaba but the difficult part of being country started from here. Unity among ourselves is the key to build strong nation in Africa. Our leaders have to be careful now on, for last six years we have been united for one gaol only which was to get our country and thats why we voted 99%. Here come question GOSS is going to continue with corruption, tribalism as they have been doing for last sex years? Thats why I said we need new faces to lead us to build the best country in Africa, thats why I will run for presidential office at next election to bring that change our new country may need, but if they stick in office by power I will be the first one will start pointing my finger. South Sudan is not going to be about Nuer or Dinka, it is going to be about us southerners nobody is going to say I am Dinka or Nuer my tribe was born to rule is no going to happen in South Sudan and if it will happen every tribe in south have all right to fight for their land at that time I will fight for my grandfather kingdom and tribe which is in other countries too. I am prince myself my people are not going to sit watching you guys fighting over power and which tribe is the best to lead the country, You guys take it as a warning like joke.
We don’t want another war to start in south Sudan it will not be good for new country. What we need is unity and development creating jobs for everyone good school system take care of our children because they are the future of our country thats why I said under my leadership I will put very strong law to protect our women and children, no man will ever put his hand on child or woman our women is going to be everything they are the one brought us this freedom 60% of 90% was women. Vote for me at next election see what kind of change I am going to bring into our country South Sudan.

The next president of South Sudan

Well, somebody asked me where does Dr. Riek Machar fit in this prophecy if John Garang, Salva Kiir are either Moses, or Joshua?

Good question! Riek Machar is a combination of Moses, Joshua, David and Solomon (in the Bible).

He is the invisible hand behind all these drives to independence of the South. The rest are his front shadows being used by the invisible hand.

All I can say is “FUCK Nyadeng” this is bullshit prophesy. Why are the Dinkas and Nuer debating? None of you is better than the other. I think sometimes Nuer can understand a lot more than a Dinka person. A Dinka men’s intellectual capacity is less than 20% to a normal person. Nevertheless for Nuer men it’s less than 35% this is because of nomadic lifestyle and because they have seen a different society first world. If I’m a Dinka person I would visit my GP to test my brain otherwise the world is not the place I suppose to be. Go back to evolution period.
