Israel deports over 100 Sudanese migrants to unnamed country; report

February 23, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – Israel has reportedly airlifted 100 Sudanese illegal immigrants on a flight that -took off on Tuesday night from Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv en route to an unidentified destination.

According to a report published on the same day by the Israeli website Ynet, a flight carrying more than hundred Sudanese immigrants was scheduled to take off on Tuesday and land in an unnamed country from which the immigrants would be transported to their country of origin.

“We are going back frustrated,” the report cited one of the deportees who explained that the group, a third of which is children, had only agreed to leave Israel for fear of imprisonment.

However, the Interior Ministry in Israel said the immigrants were leaving “of their own volition.”

Two months ago, Israel deported 150 Sudanese immigrants, including 49 children, back to an unknown country in Africa.

It is not clear whether the Sudanese immigrants are from Darfur or South Sudan but previous reports suggested they are Southerners.

Israel is grappling with an increasing influx of African immigrants sneaking into its territories through the country’s 150-mile border with Egypt.

About 15,000 African immigrants, mostly from Sudan, entered Israel this year, roughly double the amount of last year.

In February 2010, Israel began to fence its borders with Egypt in an effort to stop the influx.

    Hey guys
We southern Sudan are good friend to Israel they were the first to support us in our straggle and if they decide to send our people home this is a right time to do that too. First of all we still don’t know how the situation is going to be in Middle east after this uprising going on in arabs world, Hizibollah started firing rocket to Israel last night. We should do the same thing in south Sudan no immigrants should be in south Sudan specially those of Somalian we will not benefit from them. South Sudan government should ask UN to help to bring home our children from Egypt, they should show they care about their citizen. Look at Turkey when uprising started in Tunisia Egypt and Libya they were the first to send plane to bring their people home. The greatest countries in the world US and Britain and other still couldn’t do their citizen are suffering now in Libya to get out by their own.Thats kind of leadership I will be I will take care of my people whom will face any difficulty anywhere in this world. I will make you guys proud of your country more than you can imagine vote for me in next election, you will lost nothing just put me there, do something your children’s future once.

First of all i would like to thanks our people for great peaceful and credible conduct of the referendum i’m really happy for that.

let come back about Israel and i want to a sure you our situation especially south sudanese only, first when peoples come to israel the welcome us as a sudanese than allow all the Refugees to register with UNHCR representative in tel-aviv, after that you get three months protection permit and also allow you to work and after 3 months finish you get more 6 months and that’s was no any problem, but in 2009 government move all the refugees files to ministry of interior, there the give Darfurian muslims 1 year renewable document and that’s like an america green card but we the christian from south sudan who thought that israeli people are not enemy to us are now calling us as a enemy to them, how ? beacuse when you give your really enemy which is muslim and not giving christian which is not enemy, then what that mean to you ? we didn’t say anything about it, but again the give us a renewable 3 months visa which is reading Conditional Release it’s employment prohibition visa especially for south sudanese, and also start deporting people back since beginning of 2010 with out education qualification, and calling it as a voluntary repatriation program, so what the give to them for example:Norway provides 2000 EURO to each refugee who repatriate to their country of origin. the authorities also cover travel costs. the refugees have the possibility to go back to Norway 2 years after the repatriation. the authorities give no counselling to refugees, this is taken care of by the Norwegian Refugee Council. this is the voluntary repatriation program i believe, i would like to tell security agency in south sudan to ask this lady call Charmaine Hedding she is the one who return our people back home with connect with her Israeli ministries she know in goverment. my question is now to ours people of Republic of South Sudan do you really believe to be have a good tires relationship with State of Israel in a near future after all this badly behaved.

GOD BLESS REPUBLIC OF SOUTH SUDAN

D-NICE DENG to be reach at [email protected]
