In an interview with CAF online before the match, the scorer of the deciding goal in the 1-0 game, the Zimbabwean international Sadomba said “with the tremendous help from GOD, my team-mates and the fans and l promise to do my best at the weekend and l am always ready to put in.”

Al Hilal, which is Sudan’s most successful football club, was established in Omdurman in 1930. Last year they reached the second round of the CAF Champions League and the year before, the semi-finals.

    Dear Editor of ST,

Yes Al Hilal beat African Club of Tunisia at home(Umdurman) game by one to nil. But Al Hilal did not qualified for the next round as your reporter wrote.

Al Hilal have one more game with Tunisian team to play. Yet they have to beat the Tunisian team in the next(game in Tunisia which is two weeks away from now)to go to the second round.

In the next game, Al Hilal will go to the second round if they beat or draw negatively or positively in Tunisia. If Al Hilal lost by two to nil, they would be knock out of the Tournament.

A lost by one to nil or two to one, would put Al Hilal on penalty shootout with the Tunisians. So correct the news accordingly. Thanks

I wish you a well go ahead. Make our country a very good history in the Confideration of Africa Football champpion League.
Sudan will successfully make it as it has already defeated all East African counties of kenya and Uganda to mention a few.
