Gabriel Tanginya reports himself to South Sudan army
April 25, 2011 (MALAKAL) – Authorities in South Sudan said Gabriel Tanginya has reported himself to the South Sudan army at his location on Sunday evening and will be brought to Upper Nile state capital, Malakal, then to Juba.
Tanginya’s forces on Saturday clashed with the SPLA forces under the command of Brig. Gen. Gatwech Gai, in the fight both sides said they did not plan, as the two sides already reached agreement and were reintegrating forces. More than five thousand of his forces were already reintegrated when the clashes occurred.
Yesterday the SPLA spokesperson claimed that the south sudan army killed 57 rebels during Saturday’s clashes with Tanginya’s forces, in Jonglei state. He also said that three major-generals and several high ranking officers were among them.
However, SPLA sources involved in the fighting against Gabriel Tanginya told Sudan Tribune that there was no Major General killed on the side of the militias. A source close to Brig. Gen. Gatwech Gai, the SPLA officer who was in charge and clashed with Tanginya forces at Kaldak, said they only found the body of a Lt. Colonel from Gabriel Tanginya’s forces after dislodging his group from the area.
He also denied that the SPLA started the fighting, explaining that as they were presenting a letter from President Salva Kiir to Gabriel Tanginya, asking him to report to the capital, somebody unknown shot a bullet in the outskirts of the area and that caused the confusion which erupted into clashes between the two forces.
The source said both Gabriel Tanginya and the SPLA commander Gatwech Gai were not aware of what was happening. The SPLA commander, Gatwech, was also wounded in the clashes, the source further explained.

This news can be a relief as our nation is actually in confusion as of what the GOSS and SPLA and the rebelous forces are upto.
However, this should not be let go without inquiry by the SSLA(Sth Sudan parliment). We the Sth Sudanese are not in support of this unneeded war nor we are in support of corruption and tribalism that is being practised with impurnity in SPLM lead GOSS, mind you I am a diehard member of this decisive party that is being miss directed by greedy people who have no respect to their leaders.
It is becoming obvious that General Gatwech as well as people on General Tanginya were conspired against by unknow ghost. I strongly congratulated the General Tanginya and his men in uniform for taking this very decisive move to embaras the conspirers of this incident that happened at Kaldak. However, I have to warn the General that those killers who planned that war will not sleep untill they cause hitrate between people like General Gatwech and people like Tanginya so that a blame will be leveled on a section of people in Sth Sudan.
I think the General Tang’s decision is the wise one because it will expose the conspirers with in GOSS and SPLA. This incident is against the leadership of lst General Salva Kirr and his Chrismatic Vic, Dr.Riek Machar.
The war is open in Unity State with General Gatdet Yak. Therefore, those who like fight should go and fight him, not the people who accepted the integration into SPLA!

You are basically displaying pride here and justifying displacement of your brothers, then you write:

But here you seem to understand as well as contradict yourself, because you know conflict arises from invasion of land but somehow its ok if the invasion is done by Nuers against Dinkas. My point is this, due to mathematics alone, there is probably more in common between poor Nuers, Dinkas, Murle, Azande, Shilluk, Anyuak even northerners etc etc than there is between the elite of the same groups. So if you advocate humanity, try to do it on the basis of the have’s and have nots rather than along tribal lines, irrespective of your personal affiliations.

It took Rwanda a ginocide to realize that it was wrong instigating things like what people like “DINKA DOMINATE SPLA/M” and others have been writing here.
Now am just saying this Brotherly advice because i have seen what have happened localy in the South Sudanese community that i live in here. And Mark you “we” those who are writing live outside south Sudan(Most of us. All what you write here are interprataed at home in South Sudan into actions and this are the good reasons why we have violence erupting everywhere.
What you should do here is to come up with the Solutions into what we should do to help improve Both Nuer- Dinka relationship just like how you have lived with your Nuer-Dinka, Anyuak-Kachipo or whatever you live with in your community oputside S.Sudan. You are suppossed to be an example of Peace!! Infact an instrumet, atrumpet that call for Celebration of the New nation. We should be promoting Parties, Charities, Clubs like Wildlife, Scouts, First aids. St. John’s Ambulance, Promote those Young Musicians in every town that you are in!!. Infact the people who should have a problem right now should be the elders who say “man, how can i be Young again so Ican go to the party at night ?”. This should be the time that we should promote Inter-schools Competitions such as Drumer, Music festivals, Science competitions or even learn the New national anthem.
Dont you think you have a duty to play in the nation? HAVENT YOU SEEN FROM THOSE COUNTRIES YOU WENT TO?
HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO MISSLEAD YOUR OWN BROTHERS WHILE OTHERS ARE DEVELOPING?
WHY CAN’T YOU JUST LEARND FROM THE CONFERENCE THAT TOOK PLACE IN JUBA LATELY?
Anyways Mr. Moderator/s, please please please, you are the only one who can enforce this situation to be abolished.

I perfectly understand the article but that is white lie. After losing 165 soldiers is that the wise decision you are saying. Come on man stop being naive.Gullibility is matter a lot. Gabriel Tanginya wasn’t looking for peace but he was intended to killed the people , then after being vanquished by the SPLA he claimed to be one looking for peace.
