Sudan’s ruling NCP describes Bin Laden as a “holy fighter”

May 2, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – The West should withdraw its forces from Afghanistan after the United States announced that it has killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, an official in the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) in Sudan said today.

Bin Laden was shot in the head by U.S. forces who stormed his luxury compound in Pakistan after a decade-long manhunt during which he continually evaded capture.

“Twenty nations from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) gathered to kill the Afghan people in the context of an unfair campaign by the West ….in its search for bin Laden or capture him as a leader for terrorism,” the parliament speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir was quoted by state media.

“If they are so thrilled with his death then they should lift their hands off Afghanistan and let Afghans run their own affairs,” Al-Tahir added.

The speaker of the NCP dominated national assembly described Bin Laden as a Mujahid (holy fighter) during the parliamentary session and was interrupted by MP’s who chanted “Martyr, Martyr”.

He described the U.S. war on terror as “genocide against Muslims”.

Bin Laden lived in Sudan for five years, arriving in 1991 after falling out with Saudi Arabia’s ruling family over the kingdom’s participation in the U.S.-led campaign to end Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s occupation of Kuwait.

He left in 1996 after the government of Sudanese president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir faced pressure by the US and Saudi Arabia to expel him. Bin Laden himself is reportedly bitter at Khartoum saying that they had borrowed $300 million from him but declined to pay it back as he was leaving.

There was no official comment from the Sudanese government on the news of Bin Laden’s demise. Sudan is walking a fine line on the issue as it seeks to be lifted from the U.S. list of countries that sponsor terrorism as early as July.

Washington says that Khartoum must meet all criteria spelled out in U.S. law including not supporting international terrorism for the preceding six months and providing assurance it will not support such acts in the future

But the Islamist based government in Sudan may not want to welcome Bin Laden’s death and alienate its base which largely sympathizes with the late Al-Qaeda leader even if it does not agree with some of the actions he has taken including the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers.

Sudan and the U.S. has maintained close counterterrorism cooperation over the last decade including the targeting Al-Qaeda operatives in Somalia.

Uh! Terrorists cheating each other. So, Sudanese government stole $ 300 millions from him? America should claim this money from the Sudanese government to be paid as reparation to the victims of Al-Qaeda and should not lift it from the list of states that sponsor international terrorism as the parliament speaker calls him a a holy war fighter and martyr.

Oh My God! What the hell are these fucken Arabs are saying by calling Bin Laden, Mujahid? Do musilim have to killed fellow muslims like Bin Laden was doing to qualify him/her to be Mujahid? You think calling him Mujahid will stop you from paying his $300M that you borrowed to purchased guns that you were using against Southern Sudanese? No wonder, American were right in putting Sudan amongst States Sponsor of terrorism and must continue keeping Sudan name, now that Mr. Ibrahim has reignited it. Bullshit! Your so-called radicalists will do one by one under the hands of your husbands, West! Come on USA! Bin Laden is over, AL Bashir is the next target!

This is a typical characteristics of a regime sponsor of terrorism as such they can’t hide their support and solidarity with the El Qaeda’s leader Osama Bin Laden. be warned that there is nothing impossible for Americans, you can run from them but you can’t hide from them either. Now that Bi Laden is dead, let chose Beshir or Turabi to succeed him then we shall see what will happen next.

    Mr. Man.

Please things related to terrorism are sensitive issues security-wise, therefore, when and if you feel like you are commenting, you must be very careful. What made you linked SPLM with Kartoum and terrorism respectively? SPLM in real sense is the victim of terror acts. So please if you are too satisfied like you do, then visiting the toilet is the right thing i recommend you to. Stupid people of your calibre die of ignorant. anyway,i don’t blame you so much for you are not educated enough about terrorism. Fugitive like you must be track down soon or later.

Here we go, the Northern Sudan has revealed the real of itself. A human being with a gut can’t described that devil as a holy fighter and foolish stupid Mps chanted him as a Martyr. This means north sudan is still a sponsor of terrorism.

    Liberator,
One of the commenters here said openly that he was not interested to reply you just because of your filthy and unhealthy comments. This person has abused you so much to the extend of challenging your little brain as you called yourself “liberator”. By calling yourself “liberator” is mere lie. There was no single town liberated by Nuer from Arabs SAF and there was no Nuer town occupied by Dinka that Nuer pushed out Dinka from. By calling yourself liberator is useless.

This article is an article that would subject Sudan to be on top of Terrorism. A speaker of Sudan National Assembly condemming the killing Osam Bin Ladin by US and dignifying Bin Laden as “holy fighter” is a true indication that Sudan is sponsoring Terrorism. The article showed Sudan as a criminal by taking 300 millions from World leading Terrorist leader and refused to pay it back. This 300 millions was exclusive from the 37 Billions foreign Debts.
If you were a wise man, you should tell US that, this is an opportunity for South Sudan not to share foreign debts with Sudan because most of these debts were connected with sponsoring of Terrorism in the Country.

The Government of South Sudan led by Dinka man as the President is far from this accussation. If you were not a child, you would have been convinced by you Legal Minister John Luk by his recent article “…False claims”. John Luk portrayed Nuer major represenation in the GOSS and there is no point of accussing Dinka man.

You are insulting Dinka man for no good reasons. All other tribes know you more that you are double faced tribes who gave South Sudan major setback in history. Just wait all videos regarding those tribes who fought arabs and indeed struggled for the Liberation will be shown to the entire Southern Sudanese and World at Large. Tell me next time areas you fought arabs from.

Otherwise, this is my last answer to negative comments and bad feelings against Dinka. This negative comments will not applied to Dinka alone but will applied to any future forthcoming South Sudan President. Please stop it. Comment on the article on relevant lines.

Shame on you NCP ! where is your sponsor osama ? I thought holy fighters go direct to allah ? for they never die ! haaaaaaaaaaaaa. So, who on earth cant celebrate when he/she chops off the head of such a terrible snake ? I advice NCP to organize a party too to celebrate the burial of holy osama “AT SEA ” haaaaaaaaa !!! so funny ! burried at sea ! only the devil deserves such a treament and thoes who are possessing osamic behaviours shall one day follw suit !

In this case, how does Sudan expect its name removed from the list of state sponsoring terrorism? Ahmed Ibrahim AL-Tahir needs another “Tahrir Square” here in Khartoum. Is Osama Bin Laden now with God or at sea with the devil where he is buried? How can you commend an international terrorist leader who kills indiscriminately innocent people, Christians and Muslims alike, women and children that he is a holy fighter? Religious bigotry will not have a room again in Sudan. Believe me or not.

The Sudanese speaker of parliament is just uttering words of a withering immature politician who, by the grace of “shall never resurrect” Allah, thrived from the 1950’s to 1972 through 1983 till date. Together with his colleagues in the north they must be vigilant, next in the American calender might be them-al beshir & his vice.

Osama is not really a hero neither a holy fighter. There is no God the Creator for both Muslims and Christians as we know who praises those who kill fellow human beings. It is just the end of Osama nothing else since he was just forwarded to the fish in the Arabian sea for their diet & according to Americans & their counterparts in the fight against terrorism; that is how other terrorists yet to be murdered are to be buried.

Shame on the government of north Sudan. you owe your own brother $300 till he died. What a disgrace are you on earth!

    Dear Cibaipiath,

This is my warning to all readers and especially to the addressee of this message. when you comment please see the context of the message and restrict your comments to individual and the subject you are commenting about. this will show you gentleness or else we the other readers will conclude that you are illiterate and have no educational ethic. wherever, you are sitting is because of all the tribes of southern sudan’s contribution. the truth knows itself and even if you don’t accept it because of your inherited pride it will still sprout and manifest it self to those who knows what truth is.
therefore, my word to you is that; if it were not because of other’s contribution you would have not reached where you are, and if you are unconciouse of what you say, it is true that there has never been a single town in the whole of south sudan liberated by a single tribe during the struggle. hence, if you are dreaming of future leadership please learn from this and never indicate tribe in your comments and try to learn posting some thing true morally and lawfully. if we want south to remain a better south let leave our discriminating wordings or else our destination will not be independence south sudan but international refugees.

    hope in sound readers

The Jallabas have indeed never deviated from terrorism. They have been the support conduit for terror all over the world. They are now coming to their original position for reason that they are upset Osama is got rid of. The fear of having had military strikes by USA just made them to hibernate from conducting terror all over the world and indeed South Sudan. Now that the situation has cooled down a little bit they think they are now going back to their old ways. They have forgotten that the world has put them under the microscope lense. It is all over to them to choose between evil and good.
