South Sudan Renegade Gabriel Tanginye under house arrest

By John Actually

May 3, 2011 (BOR) – A South Sudan army official said the rebel Gabriel Tanginya has been under house arrest in the South Sudan capital, Juba since he was flown there late last month, waiting for charges to be brought against him.

In an interview with Sudan Tribune, Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) spokesman, Colonel Philip Aguer said Tanginya has been under house arrest since he landed in Juba on 26 April 2011.

Tanginya, on 25 April voluntarily surrendered to the SPLA forces, saying he wanted to continue with the reintegration process of his forces in the South Sudan army, which was interrupted by the “unexpected” clashes on Saturday 23 April at Kaldak assembly area, Jonglei. The clashes resulted in the deaths of 57 people.

On April 26, Tanginya was flown to Juba under heavy SPLA security where he was received by some high ranking SPLA generals who finally led him to where he would stay under house arrest while the military justice prepares for charges to be made against him.

The SPLA spokesman, Aguer, told Sudan Tribune “Gabriel Tanginya is under house arrest. And we are still waiting for the military justice to come up with charges against him. “Our role as SPLA is almost ended with Tanginya by bringing him to Juba. From now onwards, it is the political and legal leaderships to decide what next”, he continued.

Asked whether the presidential amnesty was cancelled and if Tanginya has to be held responsible for what he did, Aguer said the amnesty is still holding but the recent incidents and the amnesty are the delicate events which the President of South Sudan will have to decide upon.

Kiir officially pardoned many rebel leaders in October 2010, offering them reintegration into the SPLA. Many accepted the pardon and some have reneged on their promises to lay down arms.

Independent sources told Sudan Tribune that the former militia leader resides now in the headquarters of the former Jointed Integrated Units in Juba and the UNMIS peacekeepers protect him after divergences over who will guard him.

On 14 October 2011, Tanginya arrived to Juba where he attended Southern Sudan Political Parties conference, escorted by his military officers namely Major General Mabior Dhol, Col. William Dak Hoth, Brig. Gen. Amilo Mboro and Col. James Gatwich.

In the conference, Tanginya said he had come to demonstrate their goodwill by returning to South Sudan, asking the political leadership of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) to consider their negative sentiments and grudges as bygones.

Toward the end of October 2010, Tanginye and his forces requested reintegration into the SPLA, which was jointly accepted by both the SPLA leadership and the SPLM.

A few days later, Tanginya was appointed as advisor to the US based investment Company, Jarch Management Group Limited in Upper Nile state.

The guarding security should be very carelful not to let go loose Tanginye. He made a good decision that he turned himself in to SPLA. It would had been dead by now if he did not make such move.

People should not put their toxic talk about this issue, it is upto South Sudan legal department and the President of S. Sudan to figure out and sort out what charges should be brought against him and what punishment is appropriate for Gen. Tanginye. Peace to the people of South Sudan.

    Dear readers:

This house arrest is nothing more than waiting till July to hoist the flag by Kiir. After that the so called house arrest(which is illegal) will be lifted and Tanginye will be free to assumed his top position with in the SPLA.

It’s all about hoisting the flag by Kiir. but Ngundeng prophecies have their funny way of go against the conventional wisdom. The think Tanginye will foil the hoisting of the flag by Kiir. It’s all about hoisting the flag!!!

Dear members & the General public

GOSS have admitted for the first time of its failures in curving the rampat corruption and insecurity.

These came about after a security meeting attended by the following figures. it’s well noting that the Vice-president, General Chief of Staff, The Deputy Commander in chief of the SPLA who are all Nuer didn’t attend.

I say you have drawn the line here and let’s the Dinka go ahead with their conspiracy and let’s see who’s going crossed that line you have just drawn.!!!

GOSS Admits Erupts of Insecurity, Preponderance of Graft
    Khartoum (smc)

Government of Southern Sudan admits for the first time that the south suffers insecurity, preponderance of corruption, graft and tribal conflicts.
Reliable source told (smc) that security committee held a meeting recently in the south discussed security situation, outcome of government delegation’s visit to China and south Kordofan state election process. The meeting acknowledges that tribal confrontation increases and that leads to destabilization of security in cities.
The attendees according to sources highlighted that southerners have become under mercy of aliens who dominated job opportunities. The meeting also complains that the local communities suffer imported crimes such as money laundering, robbery and fraud.
Meanwhile the meeting recommended prevent employing aliens in civil service, and urged international organizations offer help for the south to terminate security tensions particularly in Upper Nile and Bahr Al Ghazal states. The meeting stresses the importance of patrolling entrance to and fro neighboring countries’ common borders and banning carrying arms in neighborhood areas. The attendees also recommended continuity of military campaign to counter militants. It notes the meeting was attended by GOSS president Salva Kir, Pagan Amum, Nyal Deng, Deng Alor, Gir Shuwang, Machel Makuei, John Lowak and Fiyang Deng Majok.

America won’t support tribalistic, corrupt and terror Government of Kiir and his murderous thugs!!!!!!!!!!

    Dear readers,

I was very much convinced when i read one of the comment from Odinga in which he said that ngundeng has prophezied the death of Bin Laden.

This is make me aware that my Nuer brothers are completely lost by Ngundeng ideologies and these ideologies are hard to be taken out in their mind.

Every event on this earth, they conceived as the ngundeng has said it. No wonder why majority of them are in the stone age in thinking capacity. Who can said that if the ideology of ngumdeng is not adevil guiding star for them and that illusion is going to trash them till 50 years to come.

I am sorry for them, they should better go to their pentecostal for baptism rather than ngundeng concepts. Thanks

correct names of those who have attended:

Salva Kir, Pagan Amum, Nhial Deng Nhial, Deng Alor, Gier Chuang Aluong, Michael Makuei, John Luk Jock and Pieng Deng Majok.

Now what is wrong with this picture? well, only Dinka stooge John Luk Jock and Pagan Amum (Garang communist protege) are only non- Dinka.

But a meeting concerning the security of the South with out the Chief of General staff Hoth Mai, Deputy Commander of SPLA Paulino Matip and the Vice-President of the GOSS Dr. Riek Machar is very telling!

GOOD for them that they have drawn the line:

    Mr. Hero,

I am from Dinka Bor but does not agreed with you. simply because we Dinka have no power to kill a Nuer man leave alone a Nuer military man. Tangenya was capture by Nuers not Dinka. So please don’t be fooled by Salva Kiir and his Dinkanized Nuers like John Luk who is kissing Kirr’s ass as to hold his garbage position (legal affair). As I know them, Nuer don’t forget and forgive. I bet you were old enough to not forget 1992 massacre in Bor town. I mention it because the Dinka Bor are the immediate target while the rest of dinkas were just stand by and watch us slaughter by the Nuer. Please, let not repeat the history.

Nhomlawda & the thieves of real history of South Sudan.

what were they doing when current Deputy commander os SPLA Paulino Matip under Vincent Kuany Latjor and Gordon Koang Chol leadership were busy fighting the Jallaba from 1975-1983?

Let me tell the public that Salva Kiir was spy in the Sudan intelligence, spying against Southerners who did revolt against the violations of the Addis Ababa agreement. Dr. Garang also was captain and subsequently promoted to lt.colonel stationed in Military GHQS in Khartoum as the military intelligence and strategist against Anya Anya II forces. He was being frequently sent to United States for advanced training in Military course while Southerners like Gai Tut and Abdalla Chol Deng were dismissed by Niemieri on the consiparacy of three Dinka namely: Kiir, Garang and Abel Alier. the reason is that they were against the Addis Ababa agreement and the violations of it. i.e the transfer of many non-Dinka officers to the North where they would neutralized.

Thus, prompted them to revolt as what latter became as the Baibor and Akobo revolts which resulted in the establishment of the Anya Anya II in Bilpham in 1975.

Please don’t take me wrong. Every Nuer East families have a blood drop from Dinka Bor, Dinka Padang, and Dinka Dongjol. Do you know why? The reason is that their grandfathers and ours fought simultineously in all fronts. However, we Dinka altogether had lost all wars. As a result, Nuer occupeid our regions today known as Waat, Pangak, and Nasir. They assimulated all the captives peacefully and now they are Nuer by the ethnicity. So what is your argument is about. Watch for anther assimulation.

Why put the blame on Salva Kiir? Salva Kiir didn’t do anything other than being served by his Nuer servants. i.e

John Luk Jock along with SPLA field commanders who executed his orders and capture Gen. Tanginye to him.

These two Brigadier Generals are from the same Fangak county as Tanginye. These two hired Brigadier Generals are Gens. Gany and Gatwech Gai.

Hey, also blame are Nuer leaders with in that communist SPLM namely VP Riek Machar, Gen. Matip Nhial and Gen. Hoth Mai for not affecting the security situation on the ground, despite having those(Now symbolic positions).

I’m really waiting to see what their reactions and actions will be if and when Tanyginye and his deputies are either charged or Killed.

Tanginye to face a spla kangaroo court. This is a warning to athor, ayii and the likes. What peace do you achieve in arresting a war general of such calaber that have voluntarily decided to join the southerners for the sake of peace.
I thought he would have been deployed with his arms at abyei to give the arabs a taste of their own medicine. The parliament should immediately pass a no

There is something underhanded with these Nuer renegades,

The nuers are in a foolish process to monopolize the army hence, they find a way to the presidency which is absolutely retrogressive and its only them who can attempt to such a foolish decision.

They come back with a lot of generals whom they think will be recommended and reintegrated in those ranks, this is just a dream which will never be fulfilled. This is a complete backwardness and renegades like Tanginya and the rest deserve the ICC process. And that is where all of them will go including Dr. Riak because they a no law tribe.

Kuol Manyang, Gier Chuang Aluong, Majak Agot, Daniel Awet Akot and also Late Dr. John Garang should be tried in absentia(since he deceased) for said charges against them

Pretending to be Bor Dinka does not in anyway mitigate your mediocre. Bor was faced behind by your mad men after they all went to liberate your asses from Jallabas. It can be prove beyond doubt now that your blind community can not attempt to dislodge Bor. After all, a kid like you can be told that the war was not a Bor-Nuer war but political which you can not understand even if the air is pumped into your mother’s anus.

    Liberator,

Where did you get those facts? True, U.S will deal with Khartoum accordingly as you put it for habouring and nesting the terrorists’ organization. With South Sudan government, U.S and Israel are working hard to see S.South becomes it strong ally to help fight the terrorists next doors. If you are not sleeping, you should have known that SPLAs are now being trained by U.S military within or outside U.S. From sharp-shooting to military intelligence, you can name it. This is to shore-up future relationship which will grant the safety of both countries. And lastly after independent, U.S will work with ROSS to clean up our house of those mercenaries likes of Gatdet and Gatluak. If They don’t make up thier minds as early as possible, it will dawn on them before they know it.It will be two way traffic this time. They will either stay in khartoum or succumb to thier everlasting place —graveyard…mark my words.

All I can say is: please do stay away from describing the intentional of U.S foreign policy strategies since you have no clue of what you are talking about.

Yes, U.S is training and providing the SPLA the necessary training to enabled it becomes responsible, and professional army not an army wing militia for a communist political party.

U.S Government can not go to war against Nuer rebel you have just mentioned. Nuer were the first batch of refugees to arrived here in the U.S and their sons & daughters are serving in the various U.S armed forces branches, and so to the Dinka along with others tribes who are serving the same professional armed forces.

so please do stay away from bringing the U.S into tribal conflicts as you seemed to yearn for. U.S will not inject herself into tribal conflict. U.S national security support all the South Sudanese regardless who is power.

so, stay away from this topic or you will find yourself in awkward situation. I have warned one guy name DENCOL MALUAL who is from Bor serving in the U.S Air force reserve to stay away from tribal comments since he is being watched as the U.S Military doesn’t allow one to inject he/herself into partisan or tribal politics.

Nuer are the majority taxpayers than Dinka here in the U.S. that was why Garang chose Nuer to welcome him here in the U.S in 2004 after merging with then SSIM party headed by current VP Dr. Riek Machar. Therefore their political clout extend beyond and single party here in the U.S.

To the SUpporter of Naath’s Cause (aka Supporter of nonsense’s cause), Gathoth Gai & any other useless, mindless idiots of Nuer tribe.

Let’s not forget who we are!!! We are one, we might speak many languages and all that tribal differences but we are ultimately one. If general G.T (though never formerly qualified as a general) is under house arrest, in my opinion that’s being generous. Do you know how many people he’s killed since his militia days? Do you know how many people suffered as a reslut of his actions (externalities)? A muderer is a muderer no matter what language you might translate it into.
If you know of any Dinka gov officials that have done anything such as taking an innocent life, by any means the fate applies. What happen to the old SPLM/A song “shallabui adeu talga”. That’s was in the name of justice and those who commit treason against their nation.
There’s more to life than tribalism “Naath people”.

Let’s stop the pickering and put our heads together to find ways of bringing peace and prosperity.
