Western Bahr El Ghazal state Governor swears in new commissioners and advisers

May 12, 2011 (RUMBEK) – The Governor of Western Bahr El Ghazal state, Rizik Zackaria Hussan has sworn two county commissioners and two advisers on Wednesday in Wau, the state capital, as part of a larger reshuffle.

On 9 May 2011, Zacharia sacked his two county commissioner and two advisers without presenting charges against them.

Other changes include:

Mulana Akol Majok Rok replaces Wol Dhel Thiep as commissioner of Jur River county.

Angelo Taban Biajo replaces Luka Anthony Ubur as commissioner of Wau county.

Zackaria Joseph Garang was appointed advisor on cooperative and rural transformation, a new position.

Luka Anthony Ubur, former Wau county commissioner was appointed advisor on youth & sports, a new position.

Wol Dhel Thiep, former Jur River county commissioner was appointed advisor for local government.

Andrea Richardo, former security advisor, was appointed advisor on economic affairs.

Peter Lau, former advisor on economics was not been reappointed.
 

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday in Wau, Governor Hussan urged the newly appointed advisers and county commissioners to prioritise security issues in the state.
