Sudan says 22 soldiers killed in Abyei ambush, as local officials denounce air and ground attacks

May 20, 2011 (ABYEI/KHARTOUM) – North Sudan army announced that 22 of its soldiers were killed in an attack carried against its troops in the contested area of Abyei and accused Southern Sudanese army of being behind it.

In Abyei, local officials said northern army launched heavy ground and air attacks on the position of southern troops during the day but not figures were available about the human or material losses.

In a press conference held at the Khartoum-based Ministry of Defense on Friday, the deputy chief of staff at the Sudanese Armed Forces’ (SAF) department of intelligence and security, Brig-Gen Sidiq Aamir, restated earlier claims that forces of Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA), South Sudan army, on Thursday evening ambushed and opened fire on 200 SAF troops s as they were moving outside of Abyei in implementation of Kadugli agreement.

South Sudan, which voted earlier this year to secede in July, signed a security accord with the north in the South Kordofan capital city of Kadugli last January to withdraw all forces from Abyei except the special Joint Integrated Units (JIUs) of Northern and Southern personnel, both army and police, alongside UN peacekeepers.

According to Sidiq Aamir, the assailed SAF troopers, which form part of the JIUs, were being escorted by peacekeeping forces of the UN Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) on board of six vehicles when the attack occurred.

He further announced that SAF started this morning a massive operation to evacuate the wounded soldiers, going on to pour scorn on UNMIS statement that it could not determine the identity of the attackers.

“The international mission knows too well that there are no unknown forces in the area, in Abyei there is no one except JIU and SPLA forces,” he was quoted by the pro-government website Sudan Media Center (SMC).

SAF deputy chief of intelligence stressed that the army would not remain silent in the face of this aggression and reserves the right to respond at the appropriate time and place.

“Abyei is a war zone in the true sense of the word…there is gunfire and burning of forests,” he declared.

According to Sidiq Aamir, 22 Sudanese army soldiers were killed in the attack while dozens remain missing, adding that only four vehicles carrying three soldiers survived the attack while three vehicles had gone missing.

He, however, said that north Sudan remains committed to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and would not respond to provocations by SPLA.

Similarly in Khartoum, Sudan’s ministry of foreign affairs on Friday summoned the chief of UNMIS, Haile Menkerios, and reported to him details of Abyei attack.

The state minister for foreign affairs, Salah Al-din Wansi, said that the attack represents a “clear breach” of the CPA and it was the second of its kind in the SPLM’s “chain of CPA violations”.

Meanwhile, the administration of the oil-producing region of Abyei on Friday accused SAF of launching concurrently aerial and ground attacks.

“The Sudan Armed forces are launching concurrent attacks to take the area. They have been bombarding the area the whole of today to reinforce advancing ground forces. They have taken Marial Achak this afternoon after bombing”, said Juac Agok, acting head of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in the area.

Agok said that SAF ground forces overran the local police in Marial Achak after bombing five other different places in the area, resulting into significant loss of lives and properties of the local people.

“Some people were killed and other sustained severe injuries, said Agok explaining that ground forces of the Sudan Armed forces were using heavy artilleries mounted on vehicles and tanks against local police using only the outdated Russian made Kalashnikovs. The Sudan Armed forces overran an outpost of local police in Marial Achak and took the area because they were well armed”.

“I am told they were using heavy artilleries mounted on designated military vehicles accompanied by tanks. The local police had nothing apart from Kalashnikovs. They had no heavy artilleries. They had no vehicles. They had no reinforcement. They had nothing at all”, explained the seemingly angered senior official of the South Sudan’s ruling party.

He named Todac, Tajalei, Maker Abior, Noong, and Banthon Bridge south of Abyei to have been areas bombed by a gunship identified as belonging to the Sudan armed forces. “There is nobody owning warplanes in Sudan. It is the government of Sudan and its army. It is the Sudan Armed forces that own planes. They have bombed Maker Abior, Todac, Tajalei, Noong, Banthon Bridge and even Marial Achak before taking it today”, explained Agok.

Kouider Zerrouk, official spokesperson of the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS), in a separate interview with Sudan Tribune, from Khartoum, confirmed aerial bombardment to have taken place south of Abyei.

“Yes, we are told a plane bombed today. It dropped two bombs near a bridge located south of Abyei town today”, said Zerrouk, spokesperson of the united Nations Mission in Sudan.

He offered no comments on ground attacks involving two armed forces in the east and north of Abyei on 20 May 2011, but confirmed an attack against its convoy on 19 May in Abyei, saying the incident took place at around 18h30 in Dokura, an area controlled by the Southern Sudan Police Services (SSPS), approximately 10 kilometers north of Abyei town.

“At the time of the attack, the convoy was transporting 200 troops of Joint Integrated Units of the Sudan Armed Forces to their designated post, as part of the deployment plan of the Kadugli Agreements, which had been agreed to by all parties”.

“This act constitutes a serious breach of previous agreements made between the two parties. It is also a criminal attack against the UN. UNMIS calls on the parties to immediately investigate the incident and take appropriate action against the perpetrators of this deliberate attack”, reads part of the statement obtained Sudan Tribune.

The mission official was keen to remind the parties of their responsibility to protect civilians in the area and that the mission remains ready to continue to assist the parties in the implementation of the Kadugli Agreement and urge them to do everything possible to stay on course in the implementation of this agreement and avoid any actions that could derail it.

The escalation of security situation in Abyei comes two days ahead of an expected visit by a delegation of the UN Security Council’s members to the region. Acuil Akol Miyen, a minister of finance with Abyei administration said on Thursday that it has official information that 15 members of the Security Council will be in the area by Monday 23, May 2011.

Abyei, whose ownership is claimed by both north and south Sudan, has seen several spells of deadly fighting since a referendum to decide the area’s status failed to take place as planned in January due to disagreements between north and south Sudan over who can vote.

The status of the oil-producing region remains one of the major points of contention in the implementation of the CPA, which in 2005 ended nearly half a century of intermittent civil wars between north and south Sudan.

Abyei will remain part of South Sudan. Bashir should avoid harrassing South Sudan at this blink of time now. Like now, NCP used antanovs, gunship and claim to be SPLA doing it so, if they want fighting, then let them declare clearly so that we defend ourselves.

I don’t think Kiir and Hoth will take any revenge as they don’t want to miss money in their pocket while our people of Abyei are keep finishing in the hand of Arab.
If they want to take army to fight SAF there will be no money to come from Port Sudan and if they don’t do it Abyei will be in the control of government of north. But they are good in killing their own brother while fearing Arab

US urges south Sudan to ’account’ for attack on north

WASHINGTON — The United States on Friday called on south Sudan to “account” for an assault on northern Sudanese troops as they were escorted by UN peacekeepers in the flashpoint Abyei border district.

“The United States deplores a reported attack yesterday of southern forces on a UN convoy that was transporting a company of Sudanese armed forces Joint Integrated Units in Abyei,” State Department spokesman Mark Toner said.

Toner told reporters the attack “is in direct violation” of the agreement signed by the North and South in January in the South Kordofan state capital of Kadugli in January to “remove all unauthorized forces” from Abyei.

“We urge the government of southern Sudan to account for this attack, take steps to demonstrate its commitment to implement the Kadugli agreement, and ensure that its forces demonstrate restraint,” Toner said.

The Kadugli deal called on all forces to withdraw from the bitterly disputed region except the special Joint Integrated Units (JIUs) of northern and southern personnel, both army and police, alongside UN peacekeepers.

P.s to Liberator my brother on your question on another article – here i quote – AMBASSADOR LYMAN: Paragraph 6 – http://www.state.gov/s/sudan/rem/20

“Abyei is a region that is in dispute between the North and the South. “It’s now in the North” . Part of the CPA, there was to be a referendum or other way to resolve the issue of whether Abyei should be in the North or the South. That has not been resolved.”

I hope this answers your question on Abyie – If no agreement is reached or referendum done – ABYIE will continue to be part of the north and anything the South does will be in violation of international law as you can clearly see from the remarks today by the UN, US and AU.

If the SPLM want a war they wont have anyone backing them up. Plus the SAF will destroy your small army that is already preoccupied by rebellions – that will soon be hitting Juba. Advice to Pagan – run to Australia where your wife and fancy villa is before its too late and let the true genuine decent peoples of South Sudan live in peace within themselves and the North. Your war mongering to distract people from the looting and stealing your current GOSS is doing will not last forever.

I thought you were going to mobilize the youth of Abyei to go to the frontline now that there is real war, not internet war.

Where are those emotional guys? Is it not time for them to go and defend Abyei?

Well, Khartoum has already declared war in many ways. And we helped it declare war because of our emotions. I don’t think the raising of flag on July 9 will be a smooth one.

The so called truthteller when you are a lieteller, let tell you your type has always been slaves fighting along side Northern oppressors when sons of Abyei had been fighting for cause of South Sudan with their brothers and sisters in the SPLA.

You and your food loving slaves militias used by Northerners have not done anything to defeat SPLA even when they were still rebels leave alone now they are Southern armies. Coward Northern armies will regret sooner it is a matter of time. They are digging their own graves. These are cowards that are afraid of Egyptian and Israelis and South Sudan will be in the mentioned list eventually, it is a matter of time.

    Dear all readers.
firstly: if you remembered last time , three months ago, i suggested that’ Abyei aggression against citizens of Abyei respond or action will run slowly from Bilpam HQ ,while Abyei loose their lives.

i suggested that’ Dinka youth and entire south Sudan youths must not be late to solidarity with Abyei people while our generals in Juba busy themselves to fight their own brothers and forgetten the main enemy SAF.

secondly: i said also last time that’ the [SAF] intelligences tactics will busy SPLA with militias while invading Abyei.

thirdly: why there is no counter join press conference held in Juba by Nhail,Mai,John Lat and Alor in order to justify accusations claim by Khartoum in media to let international aware for situation.

i believe international community will not support us all the time except with clarify our position, today president Obama administration request Juba for incident explanatory that was sign of doubt.

SAF must STOP fabrication War rumors against Southerners,

All are big Liars agianst SPLA forces; South Sudan has not started Abyei War with the Bashir and his ICC indicted followers.
I would rather advice my fellow Nubian to refrain from Attack and act in self defend till July 9 come and we too gonna support them in liberation.Seriously end of Bashir reckless rule and will eventually erupted to ownership of Abyei Land not oil.

SAF should stop propagandas and react vengeful. Killing innocent Civilians in Marial Achak Village is mounted War crime and crime against humanity and genocide.
SPLA MP should defend us and our Land from overage and crime to commit by Khartuom. They are killing our people and retract the history to SPLA and integrity as National legitimate army. SAF should cry and mourn for losing Abyei. Aerial Bombardment is nothing.

remember, we decided last time to voted on January 9th whether its raining with fire or spears and we did this our decision and no one will break it, my doubt is not in this area, my doubt is how our generals handled Abyei case even although they are capable to managed it.

today our problem is not a flag raising. our problem today is Abyei and how we could solve it.

    Weck,

The slaves are those who sold themseves to the so called ” humanterian organisations” for the sake of an Asylum visa to divide their country and nation.

Regardless of wheather Abeyei remains in the south or the north the people of Abeyei will continue to mix, interact and live their life in a natural HUMANTERIAN way.
The vision and legacy of Deng Majok will continue

Instead of being a flashpoint Abeyei will become the melting point and unite the people of Sudan again with their free will! Despite threats and intimidation by the SPLA thugs they are already migrating in thousands to join their brothers again. At the end of the day the truth will prevail.

War-mongers and hate-mongers like should come and fight themselves instead of pushing poor and innocent people to kill each other!

Nobody will come to any press conference, because the decision to attack the SAF didn’t come from the SPLA leadership..take it from me! The leadership knows tha t what happened was wrong and IT put them in a nasty corner, they can’t justify it! To attack an arm which you agreed with, to deploy it’s forces while it was being escorted by the UN is unjustifiable …nobody can justify such a coward and ruthless action

The attack was masteminded by the Abeyie millitia under the leadership of Edward Lino, Deng “Ahmed” Alour , Luka Piong. They didn’t fight themselves but they pushed the poor and marginalized people to die for their own benfits, greed and investments! Deng Alour by now will be enjoying his life with his Ethiopian wife in one of his “own” hotels either in Nairobi or Addis Abba.Who cares for the marginalized peole?! …let them die!!! That was an old story..now they have the money, their families are safe in Australia , living in the best mansion and having the best education and the best health care, let the WFP feed the marginalized people, the MSF to treat the ill marginalized people and the UNICEF to educate them…..SPLA…OYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Mohammed Ali, your thugs northern elites are the ones who caused the split of Sudan and although you are dreaming of someday unity, your thugs are working day and night to divide further once used to be a largest country in Africa to smaller countries. Darfur, Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile will follow the same foot step of South Sudan and that is because you people want to form the so called Arabic Islamic Republic. Do you remember your ICC wanted uncle Omar Al Bashir said after January election that now South Sudan is gone, Islam and Arabic would be the only functional means in what remains of Sudan. What about Fur, Nubas, Blue Niles just to mention the who are not Arabs leave alone few Christians in the North? You people have never wanted unity of Sudan and that is why you people had always been unjust and oppressive towards your fellow Sudanese natives and that fate will continue to be to the rest of Sudanese natives that are politically part of the north now but it is a matter of time and someday they will follow footsteps of South Sudan.

Deng was one of SPLA generals who never one day think about his own life than south Sudan and people of Abyei freedom.

You have to know that this is what motivated Gen. Gatdet to go to war against his own people. He has already sold his people for some coins. As I said this morning, Gatdet attacked southern Unity State yesterday and his accomplices have attacked Abyei area. Do you still believe that Gatdet is going to do good for the south? I don’t think he is even killing his own kins for the sake of the north. Please note that Abyei is not only for the people of that region. It belong to south Sudan and was transfered to the north by colonial government in 1905, so please stop your hatred against the people of the south and Abyei area. As we have liberated the whole south, Abyei is going to come to the south.

    To all readers;
first attack on UNMIS convoy which escorting the SAF troops to their designated post outside of Abyei, was plan by the SAF themselves so that they can have room to attack the SPLA and local police posts to revenge their 11 soldiers who had been kill in couple of weeks.because they can`t leave the place without revenge and either SPLA or local police are not part of this attack but to confuse international community and to say SPLA is the one again the agreement.if I may ask those who are supporting the SAF`s claim, why did not SPLA attack them when they were in Abyei territory if SPLA were look for war? and if it is true why did SAF allow the UNMIS to verify the casualty?

well UNMIS confirm the attack then what about the casualty did they? no, so as witness they could have also confirm the casualty since they were in that convoy. But SAF made this plan to complicated it with present of SPLA and local polices which always fought them in the areas.

    summary for SAF plan are these;
1-to revenge their 11 soldiers as they carried concurrent attack by air and ground force in area
2- stop UN Security Council delegation not to come to Abyei because of insecurity
3- to betray SPLA or GOSS that, is not serious about agreement.
so these are things behind this plan.

    Well said my brother..

Those wana-be-Arab-by-force northern bigots like Mohammed Ali are the real cause of splitting Sudan with their outdated imposition of one religious and cultural value.

They are shit scared of Israel and Egypt but like to wag their tale when it comes to an army with no air-force. Its funny how Israel can strike in Sudan at will, Egypt can invade an internationally defined Sudanese territory (Halib) and SAF won’t even utter a word except some PR bulls**t, but when criminals supposedly attack a few of their African lost souls of the JIU, they call a press conference headed by some senior SAF officials, what a bunch of pussycats.

When did SAF ever go to war with an external force? NEVER, they are very good at butchering the Sudanese civilians.

Its only a matter of time, you can believe that! The truth is crystal clear, the SPLA would not risk such a stupid move of provocation of war with SAF at this juncture of history. SAF, created a excuse in the presence of UN officials to legitimize its intention of invading Abyei.

Even the mightiest army can be brought to its knees, it just a matter of time and sadly a lot of unnecessary human sacrifices. But thats how evil the love of power is.

I wonder who is ready at this time to fight the Dinka because Nuer that they always use to their wars nonsense are now becoming in their public enemy No1, maybe they will use Equatorian to fight their nonsense war just to give them 30 ambassadors, two supreme ministries and second vice president!! Else Dinka asses will be wiped out by North Sudan!!

NCP-SAF must make sure to Bomb their zoo called Juba to dismantle their corrupt regime to give southern Sudan a chance to create a friendly government that will benefit both the newborn nation RoSS and the mother Sudan!!

If NCP lets the SPLM to control the new nation then, we will never witness something called peace in that part of the world, as SPLM and its militia the notorious SPLA will always destabilize the peace in the region as they don’t care whether their citizen eat mud or nothing at all as long as bellies are full with shits and look like pregnant women! SPLM/A will always illegally claim Abye and associate it with Southern Sudan creating another Kashmir in Sudan!!

If lets SPLM/A to thrive Northern Sudan will never see peace as SPLM will use oil revenue to bribe people of southern Blue Nile, people Nuba Mountains and Dar Fur to destabilize North, while continuing to suppress any opposing party here in the RoSS what will look like Cuba or China or Ethiopia during Mangisto!! Leaving SPLM/A to thrive will be like leaving a mutant cell to accumulate many mutations to progress into malignant cancer which engulfs the whole body!!! So, the best solution is to treat prematurely using medicinal chemicals or radiation and if needed a surgical termination is considered!! Now, this cancer called SPLM/A is at a tumour stage, it can be removed surgically so as to prevent its metastases or spread to whole body!!

Let NCP use the differences between SPLM/A and other southern Political parties specially that of people SSLA of Gadeit and SSDF of Gorge and Abdul Bagi Anyeei by helping those to control the oil fields in Unity State and then the regime will ….. what about imposing economic embargos by reducing the oil production output, imposing high transportation fee of the oil not less than 60% otherwise, ask the drunkard Kiir to carry his oil to Kenya with his head!!

    Weck,

You are still dillering with the rehtoric of the propoganda..ICC..Nuba Mountain..Darfor…Islamic ..Arabs..This is not going to solve our problems and bring prosperity to our people.

The first Islamic states in Sudan were not established by the Arabs ,they were established by purely Africans in Darfor and in Sinnar. The Sultan Ali Denarr of Drfur was not an Arab neither was Ammar Dungos of the kingdom of al Funj.It is only when the white-man came to enslave Africans and christinize them we started to here about these divisons. There was never Arab invasion to Sudan and never there was a national Sudanese which extended to the south. The south was annexed to the north by the British white christians. No northen Sudanese Arab or non-Arab established a state in the south! We did not make or choose these borders.

It is the SPLA who fought this war to divide Sudan, and to weaken our country by continious war and malacious propoganda! Where is slavery now, is it present in the south or north?! The so called “humanterian organisations bribed you with asylum visas to turn you against your own country and your own people, for their own benifit and greed. They earned billions in your name! The hatred which they instilled in you is burning the south NOW.The rate of killing now in the south is much more than in Darfur and more than during the war between the SAF and the SPLA.

Now their interst has change and if you look carefully they are discarding you as plastic bottles of soft drinks! They look for their own interest and benifit and not yours!

Yes I am dreaming and it is good to dream! But, you are delliring and halucinatiing! Those who filled you with these propoganda rehtoric know very well that , it has no value. So what if I am African or Arabs or whatever? What does race or ethinic origin add to me as a human being. This only existed in the brain of the white-man when they stolen the land of other people in Australia, America and to some extend in south Africa and they went on toi enslave people in Asia and Africa. This was not done by the Arabs or Muslims, because ISLAM teaches us that god had created us equals , regardless of colour, language and even religion. Even if you are not a muslim , you still have all rights and the right to choose your own relgion. On earth, you don’t have less value than muslim, in heaven that is the concern of God! All muslim will stand infront of the one God as the same, no mosque for the white and another for the black!

Yes am dreaming, and when I see the southands of southerners coming to live with their brothers in the north despite the intemidation and threats from the SPLA thugs, I feel confidently my dreem will come true.

My fellow South Sudanese. I urge SPLA President S. Kir to purchase Latest Anti Air Craft weapon from western countries to shoot down SAF out-dated Gunships Helicopters/Antonov.

    * Deploy RADAR GUIDED ANTI-AIR CRAFT WEAPON SYSTEM in Abyei and remote areas where SAF are likely to drop bombs.shoot them down.

    * Destroying those gunships will send clear warning to SAF that SPLA has the capacity to respond and to protect its citizens. Southerners can not be threaten with Gunships anymore and time has change.

    * paint your military pick-up cars with green color to cover them from being detected by SAF radars.

Sudan says 22 soldiers killed in Abyei ambush, as local officials denounce air and ground attacks
The paranoiac Amoum and the psychotic Abyei stray boys in the GOSS and SPLM are doing nothing but creating problems for the South. They’re working for agenda not related to our well-being. War on the North has been declared by them – not by the South lovers and peace seekers.

Now the North has declared Abyei a war zone. All the world witnessed that corrupted and stupid SPLA in Abyei were the aggressors. This is what I have been trying to communicate through this website and elsewhere. SPLM/A cannot be trusted the future of the South.

Mr. President and his VP should put an end to those stray hyenas. They will destroy all the South. They have to go before July 2011. OR a coup will take place soon.

I know that SPLM is loosing the battle with the patriots who are fighting tyranny, injustice and corruption. I’ve been traveling the South a lot during the last month. People are fed up, starving, fearful and waiting for their savior – SSLA.

Mr. President! Why don’t you call political parties to help you? Well! The answer would be “NO” for sure.

    Long Live South Sudan.

    Down with SPLM

No money for this brother! All the money have been transferred to personal accounts and enjoyed by the drunken youth in Australia and elsewhere.

Not a single Western country trust the corrupt SPLA/M or all the current GOSS. No one will supply sophisticated weapons without advance payment. There is no land or project left in the South for later payment.

No sane Southerner will support SPLM/A to launch a war on the North. No more bloodshed. We need to develop our South.

Let SPLM/A resigns before the tsunami takes them.

North and South are destined to live in peace or both will perish.

Let the Patriots overthrow the corrupted Junta in Juba and Abyei.

Let me tell you something ..You are A LIAR and A BIG LIAR.
Not only that your A COWARD LIAR!!

You say this (( The truth is crystal clear, the SPLA would not risk such a stupid move of provocation of war with SAF at this juncture of history. ))

    What about this:

    United Nations Mission In Sudan
UNMIS CONDEMNS THE ATTACK AGAINST UN CONVOY IN ABYEI

    20 May, 2011

The United Nations Mission In Sudan (UNMIS) strongly condemns the attack against its convoy on 19 May in Abyei. The incident took place at around 18h30 in Dokura, an area controlled by the Southern Sudan Police Services (SSPS), approximately 10 kilometers north of Abyei town.

At the time of the attack, the convoy was transporting 200 troops of Joint Integrated Units of the Sudan Armed Forces to their designated post, as part of the deployment plan of the Kadugli Agreements, which had been agreed to by all parties.

This act constitutes a serious breach of previous agreements made between the two parties. It is also a criminal attack against the UN. UNMIS calls on the parties to immediately investigate the incident and take appropriate action against the perpetrators of this deliberate attack.

We remind the parties of their responsibility to protect civilians in the area. UNMIS remains ready to continue to assist the parties in the implementation of the Kadugli Agreement and urge them to do everything possible to stay on course in the implementation of this agreement and avoid any actions that could derail ))

Is this your “crystal clear” LIE!

What about the the US State Department askin the GOSS to account for the attack!

People are dying because of liars like you!

You are a jallabi whose family dream of coming back to power in Sudan after you have stolen the money of Sudan. This will not happen,

    Sam.Idiot

    You are dead wrong,

Abyei, has a special protocol within the CPA and it was to be administered by a special body answerable only to the Sudanese presidency. Its status was and still is disputed, had the mafia gang (NCP) allowed the referendum to go ahead without the participation of the part time dwellers of the land (Misseriayah), Abeyi status would have been resolved through a referendum and more than likely be part of the South Sudan republic, this is well known and documented so stop with your Arabized propaganda bulls***.

Funny enough the deputy chief of Staff (SAF) yesterday during his press conference where he joked and laughed as if war is a joke admitted that Dinka Ngok are not Northern Sudanese but their land (internationally accepted) is supposedly in North Sudan, can it get anymore stupid than this? The elites of the three Arabized tribes of North Sudan (Ja’aliyah, Shwaigah and Danaglah) are destroying Sudan because of greed and power.

Currently, according to the CPA, Abyei does not belong to neither North or South Sudan. If the issue is not resolved prior to July 9th, the region would continue to be disputed but under international law it would not belong to North Sudan and likely to be administered by a UN mandate until a solution is found. Its funny how the US is your friend and a point of reference when it suits you, but for the real Sudanese (Africans), our interest is paramount irrespective of who is with us or against us, get it!

The SPLA never feared the Khartoum elites and their pussycats (SAF) when they had nothing in the bush, do you think they would fear them now! Remember one thing, Sudan’s People Liberation Army is a Sudanese entity and not just a Southern Army, they will dislodge your pathetic fools from power sooner or later, its just a matter of time. SLM-United, JEM, Eastern Front and the SPLA-North are gunning for you, so don’t worry about southern rebels because the SPLA knows only too well how a rebel functions.

    The struggle continues….

    Rock,

    Be resonable, logical!

You have admitted only now that 11 SAF slodiers were killed. Erlier you were denying that! Earlier your believeing in the “lie” that the 11 soildiers were not from the JIU and have different ID cards! In other the SAF was fabricating the attack!

Now , you are coming with a simillar story! That UNIMIS did not verify the number of casualities! Funny!

You would have said SAF had fabricated the whole attack if UNIMIS was not there! Unfortunately they were there and they condemned the attack!

The way the SPLA spoke-person tried to explain what happened is rediculous. To reuters he said there was a confusion. Yes… there was a confusion, it is him who was confused, because the Abeyei son’s millitia worked independatly from the SPLA command!

Where in your cut and paste job do you see a clear indication that the SPLA violated the CPA by this attack? the UN had made it clear that they could not confirm who the attackers were, while your all of a sudden friends (US), merely asked GoSS to account for the attack, another word, investigate who did it.

Yes the area is controlled by the SSPS but as well as the JIU, so what’s your point? And we already have plenty of evidence of discontent within the JIU from those of African dissent but not sure which side to bat for since the separation became a reality.

My money is on the NCP or the southern rebels as the perpetrators of this crime, when a crime is committed, all you have to investigate, is who would benefit? Certainly not GoSS as it would cause further disrupption to it and its territory was attacked on many occasions by SAF Air Force but they did not retaliate, why would they attack a supposedly withdrawing JIU unit with the help of the UN? it just doesn’t make sense, but then again you don’t have any common sense ya abu Jalabiya.

Jalaby and likes, you could try all day to hide the truth or propagate for the interest of the NCP or the bitterness you feel towards the Africans of this great nation but we know your intention and we shall prevail.

For your information am an African Sudanese and far from an Arab-wana-be, so the term Jalaby could hardly suit me as it was used mainly by southerners to describe Arab-wana-be traders in the south of the old Sudan and now the term has become widely used, or misused in your case! lol.

Of course the un will confirm the attackers ” diplomatically’ after investigation. But we all know that there is nobody who can attack a convoy of an army in that area except the SPLA. Nobody has got weapons or arms to attack an army except the SPLA. For sure the UN knowes this fact , but diplomatically they cannot say it directly untill it goes through the proper channells !

What the hell are you on about? The hate in the African Sudanese mind set was due only to the White man? so are you telling us that Arab Elitism had nothing to do with the suffering of the Sudanese African Identity and culture? More slaves where taken from Anglo-Egyptian-Ottoman Sudan by Arabs than by Whites, simply because the Whites monopolized the slave trade in the West of Africa while the Arabs did the same in the East, do we need to discuss what went on in Zanzibar? Give yourself a break from your entangled brain and accept the suffering of others.

You are one misguided fool, Islam should not be judged by the fools shouting Allah Akbar while burning villages, raping women and killing children! Your power hungry fools in Khartoum do not even understand the word “Islam” because they have used this religion for their interest with devastating effects on countless generations. Your likes are not peace loving muslims, you are a bunch of brutal imperialists and certainly no different to the imperialist White man.

The British gave the South to North Sudan and the southerners requested a federal system in return for unity but they were deceived by your imperialist likes. We all the farce of the Juba conference and subsequent voting that took place in the late 40‘s early 50‘s. Sudan could have been at peace and prosperous if it weren’t for the imperial ambitions of your elitists with their imposition of one identity one religion policies.

Don’t try to preach to us about the indoctrination of the White man’s Christianity, what about the systematic Islamization in the Sudan? where many African Sudanese could not even get a decent education if they didn’t convert to Islam? You argument is pathetic at best and condescending at worst, even the average kid in the street of Khartoum looks down upon non-Arab/Muslim, not because they are bad kids but because its what your likes have taught them. Hell, even our poor sisters have been forced into thinking that being lighter skinned is more beautiful than their heritage African black skin, you can walk the streets of Khartoum for ages before seeing a naturally skinned woman, how very sad!

This mind set ya Mohammed was not caused by the White man alone, don’t let your love for the Arabs blind you from reality, one can admire the contribution of any civilization of any people, be it the Arabs, Europeans or Japanese but it should not be at the expense of one’s own identity and heritage.

Your silly attempt to find a contradiction in what I said was laughable… whether its violating the CPA by attacking SAF or provoking SAF by attacking one of its units and then leading to the violation of the CPA is just a choice of words, do you really believe the nonsense you write? I once challenged you to email me so that I can convincingly show you the flaws in your stand view regarding Sudanese politics, mainly because occasionally you attempt at sounding empathetic and neutral but your failure to take up my offer shows that you are not really a concerned citizen more like an NCP mouth-peace or just an agent who can’t help himself but show his hatred to the real Sudanese (Africans).

If I was to boast about my educational background or my qualifications, you would probably accuse me of assuming someone else’s character but let me assure you that the little knowledge you display on this website is enough to indicate to me your level of education, let alone intellect. Its good at least that you can construct a sentence in English.

You may have received a degree/ SSL certificate from Australia posing as a Darfuri refugee to gain an asylum visa, but sadly you have learnt nothing, meanwhile boosting your hate for Africans and false self identification as an Arab! lol, proud to be an Arab? maybe, but am sure the real Arabs ain’t proud of you.

Your claim to be Sudanese is meaningless, Ghazi Salah Eldin (Presidential Advisor) claims to be Sudanese but we all know he’s Turkish and many others like him among the elites of Khartoum, like the Eritrean born interior minister, you people do make me laugh! lol.

YOU ARE NOT ARAB…LOL, just a wan-be-Arab! Yes, I have seen on many occasions how the Sudanese wan-be-Arabs are treated in the Middle East, especially at airports. Your likes are pathetic. Don’t worry, you guys are welcome to be Sudanese too, just drop the Arab claim, lol!

    Logic,

    You are a pathological liar!

No my degree is not from Australia, it is from UK and it the highest degree in my field of medicine.

No, you are lying about the treatment of Sudanese in the Gulf or the middle east in genral. Nobody is treating them badly because they are the teacher in the schools, the proffesors in the univercity, the doctors in the hospital , the magistrates and judges in the court, the legal advisor in various departments and oil companies, the municipal directors , the army advisor, the police trainer. On top of that nobody will dare to direspect us , because we are SUDANESE, and if you have no pride in your soul to reveal your true identity , WE the SUDANESE will tell the whole world we are SUDANESE and we are much very proud of ourselves!

Untill you die with your uslessness and cheap arrogancy I am an ARAB and I am avery proud Sudanese and ARAB.

I had a chance to get UK passport legally and honourably without selling my country like you for the sake of an asylum! Many of my friends and colleques had got their British passport legally and honourably, but still they are proud SUDANESE. Those who seek asylum visa are your type..cheap and have no loyality to their country or people.

Your silly and foolish atempt to justify a lie with alie is obvious, yet you came beating around the bush! In your first posting you denied that there was an attack in the first place, then in your second lie you considered this attack was not a violation to the CPA. I think you should laugh at yourself if you don’t understand what you write. Your false inherited arrogancy makes you think that other peopel are stupid LIKE YOU, as probably you hear your father calling others YA..BALEED all the time even when they are right! That was history, the game was over!

I don’t hate Africans , those who hate Africans are those who sold themselves to the white-man and his ” humanterian” organisations for the sake of an asylum visa and still love lick his showes!

Who are you to talk about Ghazi Salah El Deen? Ghazi gained his PhD in biochemistry from UK and if he wanted to remain in UK he would have been one of the eminnent proffesors in the most prestigeous univercities in UK. He loves his country so he came back. His ancesteros are from Turkish origion , but we in Sudan don’t have this ratial exclusion , once you are SUDANESE , then you are SUDANESE. Ghazi is a real Sudanese and is ready to die for his country and he did it before! The minsterof interior was not born in Eritria , he was born Kassala, but he has his ties with Eritria as most of the tribes in East Sudan they have common origon. That is not a negative , in fact it is a positive thing that we are diverse people and race or ethenic origion is not a parameter for human value! This mentality proves your typical ” jalabby” origin from the old families who dominated the Sudan in the past and created all these problems we are suffering from. The mentality of arrogance and superority and that you were born to rule, identifying this as Eritrian , that as Turk, and if Ali Al haj was there they ussed to say he from Chad!So what Obamas father was from Kenya!

I must admit that my English is not good , it is not my language, but still I can send the message through your thick brain.

    Muhammed Ali,

Do you think SPLA can attack an army being escorted by UN forces while moving north outside Abyei? Why didn’t the SPLA attack them when they were in Abyei? Brother, we thought that there were some reliable people in the north, but we find that lying and cover-up of sins and crimes is genetically programmed in you.
UNIMIS clearly stated that the attack was carried out by “unknown” assailants. Where did you come up with that white lie that SPLA carried out the attack?
Why not accept the truth that SAF , PDF or Misseria militia elements carried out this attack as as a pretext for the north to find a ground to occupy Abyei. This is the real truth of what happened and JESUS CHRIST can tell you that and I 100% believe the whole north cannot swear by Quran to say that SPLA initiated the attack.
Because of your lies, this is why you northerners have been cursed by GOD to always fail in life as we can see how miserably you failed to safeguard Sudan after you usurped it from the British in 1955.
Far north is going to Egypt and I cannot talk of other peripheries which remain in your control.

Ya Truthteller, Mohamed Ali and the likes,

Remember that Khartoum has a track record of military aggression since May 2008. Khartoum still believes that Abyei will be part of the North with or without holding Abyei Referendum that Omer Al-Bashir insists on including voting rights of the so-called neglected nomadic Messeriya of Southern Kordofan since 1905.

The only message that Khartoum needs to remember every time when it plans to provoke SPLA militarily is that SPLA is ready to defend its territory including Abyei at any cost and Abyei will never be Sudan’s Kashmir or part of North Sudan. Believe me or not. I would like to remind you Truthteller, Mohamed Ali and the likes not to be surprised when Abyei becomes part of South Sudan. Can you imagine that Khartoum is playing with fire?

When a full scale war starts, it will fortunately end up in Khartoum’s door step to confirm whether the ICC-indicted war criminals are still there, hiding in the well-known bunkers located in both Khartoum and Khartoum North or not. He will not make it to that in Shendi. The first three indicted war criminals would attempt to run but never hide.

If NCP wants peace, it should start valuing future relationship between North and South Sudan and individual economic outlook. Waging war will only force them to flee the country unexpectedly and will never come back except to face court charges of mismanaging the country and its valuable resources.

The leadership of NCP should remember what has happened in Tunisia and Egypt and particularly what is currently happening in Libya. It should not just watch it on TV but admit that it’s already heading to Khartoum before freedom, not competitive interpretation of Quran to govern Sudan, knocks on every door of Northern residents.

You seem to be an absent minded individual in that you contradict and confuse yourself.
You want SAF to wipe out Dinka people, bomb and dislodge them from their jungle, Juba so so that you can build a peaceful neighborly republic. Would you achieve that with the above stated objectives of yours? Come out of nutshell and educate yourself that no force can wipe out 4 million Dinka population, or build a peaceful nation in your enmity to them. Our destiny is one and neither can survive without the other in the South brother; otherwise are cynic enough and full with hatred that is shortening your life. Eradicating Dinka or any other tribe in the South is like operating your own heart by yourself.

You have threatened and intimidated thousands and thousands of southerners to leave their homes, properties, jobs and schools, without offering them any alternative simply asking the WFP to feed them, just like animals without providing or even having the provision to provide them with education, health care, jobs, security or even shelter! You have treated them like garbage while you remain in your villa in Khartoum , beating the drums of war in the south against Khartoum..shame ..shame on you.

The SAF had been attacked twice , very cowardly. In the first attack 11 soldiers were killed, in the second 22 slodiers were killed, 176 not accounted for as yet. This is horrible, and very humulating. The government released the information only gradually so as not to invoke any reaction on the street. This happened while they were escorted by UNIMS , 4 of the vehicles were UN vehicles, one of them was totally burned! No army in the world would swallow that and certainly not the SAF!

Now , you have to bear the consequencies, the UN is asking to bring the prepetrators infront of justice as they considered it ” a deliberate” action not only against the SAF, but against the UN!The war had already started in the south and the poor and needy have to bear the consequencies. And you, beating the drums of war and threateing us with mighty SPLA for quite a long time, from yur villa in Khartoum! Very rediculous!

You say if Khartoum wants pease and good relationship with the south, it has to stop agression against the south! What peace you are talking about! Do you call this peace? Killing our soldiers in such a coward way is not peace and for sure nobody in the world will accept such ” peace”.You are talking to the wrong people if you think this is peace!

    To Weck,

I agree it is unbelieveable!,but unfortunately it happened! The only forces in Abeyei were SAF and the SPLA .There was no other army there. Could you tell me any other army there? Any other force?! If there was one , let us accuse them! The UN said it was unidentified, that is true, because the identification is a process which will go through certain channels to prove it 100%. But mind you the UN said it was a deliberate action refuting the claim of the SPLA spoke-person!! The US asked the GOSS to account for what happened. Then you have to read between the lines.

Did you see or hear any one commenting from the GOSS? No ,why? Because they didn’t give any order or approved such an attack. They know it is wrong, they know it is dangerous, they know it is fatal and they don’t accept it at all.I can assure you that there is seriou fighting within the leadership in Juba.Any goverment with the least sense of responsibility will not accept such a henious crime!

Obviously , you don’t accept it and you don’t believe it. You are simply in a state of denial, because you think it is patriotic to defend your army.It was not coming from the millitary command of the SPLA , and you will see!

It is coming from Abeyei son’s millitia, who did it behind the back of the SPLA leadership, and you are right not to believe it. Unfortunately it happend, and it was very humulating to the SAF!Unfortunately the SPLA and the GOSS have to bear the responsibility! Sadly the real effect will fall upon the poor and needy and those who are already vulnerable!

    Paul,

I think you should save your advice to your SPLA leaders about Tunisia, and Egypt! Am sure that you will be horrified when you will see fat ” foregin accounts” of your beloved leaders and freedom fighters, in only five years not in 30 years or 40 years like Ghadafi or Husni Mubark!

The international community had warned them.. Stop corruption or otherwise no aid.Simply because they know how swellon are their bank accounts.

How about $ 2 BILLIONS not accounted for in one year! Sure you are taking your fair share living in expensive villa in Khartoum.Interstingly home prices came down dramatically in Khartoum after secession, particulary in expensive location , where ” patriots” like Pagan Amum is still living, probably waiting to say bye..bye Khartoum again!

Sudan says 22 soldiers killed in Abyei ambush, as local officials denounce air and ground attacks
    BREAKING NEWS!!!

Sudan Armed Forces have captured Abyei on Saturday following heavy bombardments and ground assault that dislodged the SPLA and police forces. The situation has gone to worst. UN has raised the situation to “red” level.

Now where are those warmongers of Dinka and Dinka of Abyei. I told you that your emotions will harm the people of Abyei rather than saving them. The population in Abyei is currently wiped out running to Warrap and Northern Bahr el Ghazal states.

    Where are those internet wariors?

Please, if you left the matter of Abyei to strategists who won the case of Abyei official territory in the Hague, Abyei would be won back to the South without a bullet shot.

Now don’t just whine and complain on the internet, let Luka Biong, Deng Alor and Pieng Deng mobilize the Dinka youth of Abyei, if there are any, to the frontline and fight.

In 2008 it was Peter Gatdet who fought for you in Abyei, but after you paid him back with evil by biting his hand that saved you, he is now turned against the system. You need to look for somebody else to save Abyei after 100 years in the North.

Liar teller your sisters are not going to stay in Abyei as you wish them. It is a matter of time and they will pay back. Who knows they must have paid your uncle militia Gadet to attack them and blame it on the SPLA so that they would not leave as requested by UN. But how long would they stay there? If SPLA can’t kick them out they as well go and momb your mother and father in Unity too. A fool like you think they are after one tribe in South Sudan or Abyei when they in fact don’t want to loose oil in South Sudan as whole but they are deadly wrong and they will eventually including your uncle militia Gadet pay for that. They are using him to kill innocent people in Mayoum and sournding areas but his days will numbered too.

North Sudan army takes control of border town Abyei

South Sudan is due to become independent in July, but Abyei is still claimed by both sides
The northern Sudanese Army says it has taken control of Abyei, a contested area on the border with South Sudan.
Sudanese state television, based in Khartoum, said northern troops had “repelled enemy forces” in Abyei town. UN officials confirmed the development.
The move follows three days of clashes between northern and southern forces in the area.
The dispute over the oil-rich region is seen as a possible trigger for a new north-south civil war.
South Sudan is due to become independent in July, but Abyei is still claimed by both sides.
The BBC’s James Copnall in Khartoum says the key question is whether the fighting is now over or whether a new civil war is about to begin.
“The SAF (Sudan Armed Forces) have entered Abyei,” said Philip Aguer, spokesman for the southern Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) rebels. “There is still fighting but they have come with tanks, they are shooting and shooting.”

This is a compelling northern military victory, making use of its greater resources.
The key question now is whether the North has, in seizing Abyei, fulfilled its objective.
A northern General, Ahmed Abdalla, told the BBC his men would go up to the river at the south of the region of Abyei.
If this is the case, the North will have de facto control over Abyei.
But southerners must be nervous that this is the start of a larger attack.
Some of the South’s most valuable oil fields are just over the border from Abyei.
The UN Security Council is in Sudan, and will surely make it clear no-one wants a new north-south war.
But these are dangerous times in Sudan.
A UN official told AFP news agency: “The SAF have taken the town, it is a major development.”
A UN Security Council delegation is currently in Sudan and is due to visit Abyei on Monday.
Our correspondent says it now faces an even more worrying situation than it could have anticipated.
The latest clashes began on Thursday after the northern army said 22 of its men were killed in a southern ambush.
The UN said the northern troops were being escorted out of Abyei by UN peacekeepers.
UN officials described the incident as “a criminal attack” and the US called on South Sudan to “account” for the assault.
Washington said the attack was “in direct violation” of the agreement signed by the north and south in January to “remove all unauthorised forces” from Abyei.
South Sudanese forces denied responsibility for the incident.
However, the north warned it was prepared to retaliate, and then did so with artillery fire and greater military strength than the southerners could muster.
Abyei is claimed by a southern group, the Dinka Ngok, and northern nomads, the Misseriya.
Analysts have predicted that the dispute between the two groups has the potential to drag in the northern and southern armies.

Abyei issue is not new to anyone in this website, and still not new to the Government in Khartoum,Abyei people had been fighting the war with Arab nomads back in 1950s,since then they had never gave up their rights and become an Arab.so to those of you who are criticizing the whole Dinkas in general, the conflict of Abyei is also conflict to the southerners and not about the Dinka.let us join hand in hand without giving any differences.
    peace!

Good Job to the government of South Sudan for not responding to the Sudan army forces who want to violate the peace agreement. In addition,I support the decision made by the government of South Sudan because we did not wanted the civilians of Abyei to killed or South should going back to war with the north Sudan before the raising of the flag of our new nation of South Sudan. Anyway, I am sorry to say this, but l hope the people of Abyei could feel the heat of this war tatic since they are one that in favor of Arab rather then to believe themselves either they will be remain as Southerners or northern. Who to blame on this mess? Hopeful, I think Uncle Deng Majok is to be blaming on this alawful acts made by government of Bashir because he is the one who sell the land of his Dinka Ngok to the Arab?

    Thanks.

Sudan says 22 soldiers killed in Abyei ambush, as local officials denounce air and ground attacks
    Now listen or read,

Cowards who never fought the real war since 1983 but hid in refugee camps, should not be allowed to lead South into war based on emotions while hiding.

I am the real southerners that was part of the self-determination vision which brought you the independence in January’s referendum.

The champion of self-determination, Dr. Riek Machar, using his wise strategy also won the Abyei territory in the Hague.

But for you cowards of Dinka you just always want to emotionally declare war which you yourselves will not fight. You think because the Nuer are the majority in SPLA, they will fight for you as usual. NOT this time!

I advised your foolish brain last time that the war you are singing about in Abyei will harm your people, but you could not listen. This Abyei issue could have been wisely handled without a fight.

Your foolishness you attacked the SAF forces withdrawing thinking that they were afraid of your police in the town. Now the USA government, your only strong ally, has condemned the SPLA for the first provocative attack. President Barrack Obama himself has condemned the SPLA.

Now the Khartoum government has taken advantage of your foolishness to attack them.

Here is what has happened as the situation is of now:

1/ SAF has captured Abyei and some other villages, driving out the Dinka Ngok populations to Warrap and Northern Bahr el Ghazal states in South Sudan.

2/ President Al Bashir has issued a presidential decree last night dismissing the Abyei administration. All are removed and Abyei now remains without the administration, but under the total control by the North, including the abyei town.

3/ The visit of the UN security council members to Abyei has been cancelled.

Now, where is your foolishness taking you? Are you not whining and complaining like coward kids?

Any further retaliation the North will bomb other South Sudanese areas like Warrap and also Juba. And if Juba is bombed before July 9, the invited world leaders will not come for the independence celebrations. It will look like a wedding without invited guests. Is this what your foolish generals want?

Some of your coward leaders will not even attend the July 9 amid expected bombings by the North.

Abyei issue should have waited until July after we consolidate our independence and have access to …well, as independent country.

But because cowards are always emotional and quick to declare war only to regret later, they don’t act wisely like the brave.

Shame on you for losing Abyei foolishly.

NgunDeng have said cie koor tuok ke Pabiei “cie Deng naa look eeer, ca Abyei bi dhil ling” People have been rejected by Deng, and Abyei might not be heard again. Those mistakes are already in NgunDeng word.

Apadang Northern UpperNile territories, LuonyAker, Northern Barelgazal, and Juba will be disarray by enemy Arab Army before Deng drove them with heavily retaliation toward Khartoum.

“Nguen Deng Rol, ke nguen Rol Deng”
It means that Deng is Daring Arab and Arab is Daring Deng. There are some General that will taken by Arab and they will be Arab, according to NgunDeng.
Might be those of Gatdet groups
    Tone of liberator
