Central African, Chadian and Sudanese presidents meet in Khartoum

May 22, 2011 (KHARTOUM) — Khartoum will host a tripartite summit on Monday 23 May between presidents of Central African Republic, Chad and Sudan to discuss political and economic cooperation between the three neighbouring countries.

Following the normalization of bilateral relations between Khartoum and Ndjamena in January 2010 the two countries deployed a joint force to secure the border but later extended its activities to the Central African Republic.

The two countries also banned the movement of rebel groups in the two sides and kept watching closely any potential presence in the lawless Central African territory near their boundaries.

Khalid Moussa, spokesperson of the foreign affairs ministry, said the two day meeting aims at strengthening political, economic and security cooperation between the three countries.

Sudan and Chad signed different economic cooperation agreements and also agreed to construct a route to link Ndjamena to Port Sudan on the Red See. Also Sudan launched the construction of a 158 klm road between the capital of South Darfur state Nyala and Central Africa.

The Summit also intervenes after the re-election of President François Bozizé for a second term in January 2011, while President Idriss Deby is freshly re-elected this month with 88.66 percent of the votes in an election marred by the opposition boycott.

These are military tactics, the Sudanese government together with her allies are just planning of ways to destabilize South Sudan. They want to build more strongly their bilateral relationships in order to allow Sudanese army to move freely around their borders to fight with South Sudanese army as they did in 1997 in the central African border. To all my South Sudanese comrades, let’s stay alert and open our eyes to look into this submit held by the Sudanese govt, Chad and the central African republic. Chad and the central African Republic are not our allies they don’t support our cause as an Independent Country.

    Chuangah,

Don’t worry about this tripartitie summit whether economic or military. Khartoum is trying to prepare safe haven when the ongoing revolutionay fever strikes. Omer Hassan Al-Bashir was supposed to take refuge in Saudi Arabia as usual in the wake of ICC announcement of his war crime 1n March 2009 but changed his mind. He considers Central Africa Republic (CAR). Saudi Arabia already has its own political problems that giving out millions of dollars to citizens at this particular juncture would not make any difference.

South Sudan will prevail at any cost. After all, the leadersship in Khartoum is disabled first by SPLM/SPLA in January 2005, then by Darfur conflict, ICC, power of democratic transformation, nascent country of South Sudan, foreign debts and economic woes. All these keep Khartoum face changing uglier on daily basis due to lack of sleep. It’s easy to assume power in a bloddless coupe of 1989 but not easy to stay in power for ever without paying the price. It’s Khartoum’s own making of mismanaging the country in all walks of life.

    Chuangah,

Don’t worry about this tripartite summit whether economic or military. Khartoum is trying to prepare safe haven when the ongoing revolutionary fever in the Middle East and North Africa strikes. Omer Hassan Al-Bashir was supposed to take refuge in Saudi Arabia as usual in the wake of ICC announcement of his war crime in March 2009 but changed his mind. He considers Central Africa Republic (CAR).

Signing secret security agreements without participation of its southern neighbor, South Sudan is illegal and will be considered an additional crime. It would never work in the current and future political climate, because who is your neighbor and who’s your enemy. It would not even work if intended to destabilize South Sudan or to get rid of Darfur rebel movements.

Saudi Arabia already has its own political problems that giving out millions of dollars to its citizens at this particular juncture would not make any difference either. People need freedom of expression and individual liberty not religious ideology that marginalizes others and denies privileges for driving cars by women because of Kingdomship.

South Sudan will prevail at any cost. After all, the leadership in Khartoum is disabled first by SPLM/SPLA in January 2005, then by Darfur conflict, ICC, power of democratic transformation, nascent country of South Sudan, political fissure within the leadership, foreign debts and economic woes. All these keep Khartoum face changing uglier on daily basis due to lack of sleep. That’s why statements issued at press conference differs inconsistently from top to bottom and vice versa. Whether the statements are accurate or not, it’s up to the public to digest.

It’s easy to assume power in a bloodless coup of June 1989 but not easy to stay in power for ever without paying the price. It’s Khartoum’s own making of mismanaging the country in all walks of life. The only way out is to step down peacefully or face the wrath of the political forces.

but but but he is gonna starve to death if he goes to the south. He wont get the hospitality he is getting in Khartoum anymore, he wont ever meet peaceful people like the people in Khartoum ever again. You know what they say you are my enemy until I need you for something. South Sudanese are too stupid they need to stop considering the North their enemy grow up.
