BREAKING NEWS: North Sudan army carries out air attacks in Unity state, South Sudan says
June 9, 2011 (JUBA) – The north Sudan army today carried out intensive air attacks in South Sudan’s Unity state, a state minister has told Sudan Tribune.
The attacks, which occurred from 7-8AM in the morning, were reported by the minister of information in Unity state, Gideon Gatpan Thoar.
Thoar told Sudan Tribune on Thursday that two Antonov airplanes belonging to the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF), north Sudan army, carried out the dawn attacks in a place called Jau in Pariang County of the state near the North-South borders.
Thoar further said that SAF’s Antinov airplanes, which he said were targeting the positions of division nine of the South Sudan army, the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA), instead hit the settlements of civilian populations in the area. The number of casualties was not immediately confirmed.

Sorry to the people of Unity State! The Arabs in the North are jealous of the strong back-bone support from the strong governance of Unity State to the Referendum exercise. Unity State has been holding a strong position of implementing the CPA agreed policies.
Kiir and his government should not react with the same behaviours by the North Sudan but they have to work harder to protect the South Sudan’s citizens within these remaining 30-days

Poor Government of South Sudan and SPLA! Until now there is no a single air defense battery held by SPLA. It is heartbreaking when we see ourselves being bombed again without doing anything to enemy bombers after six years of relative calm in which we were supposed to have prepared for all eventualities.
All those big businesses in South Sudan and especially in Juba must donate millions of dollars to buy air defense batteries now.
We are at war and no one should under estimate this anymore.

Do you want president Kiir to response to the brutal attack of Bashir? you are absolutely wrong, no war before independent we better die and wait for independent when we become a nation then that would be international issue and mr.Bashir will be in hell when that time comes.it is his interest (Bashir)to interrupt our independent but he is totally wrong and SPLA will never accept.we will get nothing if SPLA response because people will still go into total confusion and there will be no more South Sudan. This is not a surprise, north want to provoke south into war knowing that July 9th is approaching. It will be up to international community to figure out if they want the north to continue provoking Southerners into war and that is what they are up to now.
Those who were fooling themselves that Abyei attack was provoke by Southerners are yet to be waken by fresh attacks these northern losers ate planning day and night. Some would wonder why SPLA is not fighting back, yes that is what the north want so that south Sudan does not enjoy their independence. You will not see them doing the same provocative attacks on Southerners after July 9th for they know what the consequences will be for them.

Your ability to brainstorm here is very viatal and appreciated because it gives those educated who understands what is going on, a picture or map of what will happen soon or later.
I don’t just like the way our media reports things which makes people to ask questions of the validity and facts of the article, events should eb reported in time and should be fresh and measurable.
In the lue of what was reported in Unity State, I condemed it if it is true but I don’t support the call for reterliation whatsover, and I don’t rely on Americans or International Com’ty for intervention but rather suggest that just like other coleagues suggested, we have to keep calm at this time but ofcourse build up defence at the boadre to protect civilians from fear for attacks by the hungry but week Jallabas.
Don’t criticize Kirr like that, though your personally know he is a week manager, time will come when he will be redeployed to defence ministry or man of atomic energy. No tribe for S. Sudan but Southerners for south Sudan.
